Fitting into a top 4 side has its disadvantages when they have ball hoggers in Danger ,Selwood and Duncan and now Menagola ..So only a bit role is available and as long as you contribute by not turning over the ball or continually get beaten one on one then the coach would be satisfied..

I like Motlop and if we were any other team I'd be keen, but we seem to have a real issue with not being able to get the most out of inconsistent players.

There's no denying Motlop is inconsistent - saying it's because he's in a strong team isn't a good enough excuse.

If we had a good track record of getting the most out of these types of players I would back us in, but unfortunately I could see him flopping big time in our system

"Ball hoggers" ? Oh why didn't our recruiters see that "ball hogger" right under their noses ! Menegola was exactly what we needed.

the Collingwood recruiters probably mistook Mayne for Lamb in the first place.

That was one of the findings from the review - "Hey Gubby - you threw $500k a year to the wrong person". So now Eddie will be managing all the trades going forward.

It's a traditional food source of Indigenous Australians which is fine but the manner of the quote in question was very harsh and seemed hateful..
Calling a aboriginal person in that manner implies racism ..

Ah yes, Luke English is another top WA Colts prospect that is not eligible in the 2017 draft. He has been pretty dominant and not sure why Sumich did not pick him for for the U18 carnival. It wasn't like we were batting that deep in the midfield during the carnival. Not like he was injured and there were a heap of other bottom-agers in the team.

I expect a stronger WA pool in 2018.

English will be a good WAFL player but not much more. Disposal is not up to scratch. Not unusual for un under ager to win this award because most of the true contenders miss a large part of the season at the champs. Then when they return they play reserves or league football.

Same goes for the colts team of the year. Wish they would make the change to include players who play up, every year good players miss because they don't play the minimum amount of games.

Its racist because it refers to something only indigenous people do and the context was negative.
