Yeah, West Perth used to be where a lot of Italian market gardeners lived and a lot of them played for and supported West Perth.
Garlic munchers was used as derogatory term originally because eating garlic and shit was consideted weird. Like a lot of derogatory knick names it was eventually worn with pride*

I had a good conversation with an aboriginal guy once about eating turtles.he couldn't believe that us white folk couldn't just go out and grab our own turtles and eat them.
