Jake Spenser just delisted by Melbourne. 203cm backup ruckman 27 yrs old.

I still say we need another backup ruck. Especially with Petrie retiring.

Need to pay out Giles and move on. Seen glimpses of Spenser and he can halve a contest and as depth costs little.

Wouldn't be the worst option to rookie list him if Giles goes along with the Petrie retirement.

Why would we trade Lycett for anything under a top 20 pick?
Decent rucks ready to go are a long term project. We've been developing Lycett for 6-7 years and he's a good, physically developed player ready to go. Why would we give him away to the first cheap bidder?

Injuries have pushed his value out In fairness only worth a 2 nd rd pick and I wouldn't be too upset if he wanted a change of scenery to escape his injury curse ..

see if any one gives a early to mid second rounder for slyce.
Then Vardy jumps into his spot, jake spencer as a DFA and maybe a young fwd/picked up.

Hopefully draft a youngster for use in 4-5 years. Nic Nat, Lycett, Vardy, McInnes (perhaps) all ahead. Or when we need one poach em

Emac is an intriguing case. Bloke is the epitome of a lock down defender and he has a few tools that make him not one dimensional. That said, if we are to go full rebuild mode, id move him on. Purely because i want us to give Barrass the trust to be the number tall defender and develop that side of his game. After all he will be our should be our main lockdown sort for the next 10 years. Gov also has the ability to do a job on the main talls if the worst case happens. In that case id keep schoey on nothing and actually draft a young KPD as well.

When Crazy Vozzo was at the draft last year, we were all asking Willie Rioli the dice and choose SPP?
When it came to the rookie draft, I Drew a long breathe as I was Petrie-fied that we would choose poorly.
The recruiting team don't have the best Strijk rate lately, they need to find an inside bull that Peppers the goals and doesn't go to Water-man under pressure.

Don't care where they find him they need to search far and wide, all the way from The Murray river to Newman in the Pilbra and every where in between.

Ch7 Sports news reporting Adelaide have made an offer to Priddis. Play next year and then coach afterwards. Ch7 also reported Adelaide aren't the only ones asking questions.

So Brownlow medallist, All Australian, F & B would have to a top 10 draft pick (I can only dream)

People deluded if they think we even want to get rid of Lycett.

Petrie is retiring and vardy, nn, lycett can work. Vardy play chf, darling 3rd tall. Job done.

Priddis, mitchell gone and Lecca as depth. We will have more pace and pressure around the ground for sure.

So if Nic and Lycett struggle with fitness we have Vardy and McInnes rucking and nothing at our WAFL club to help with development?

We need a cheap backup who can hold their own at AFL level and provide stability and support in our WAFL development squad.

AN 18 year old cant do that and they also need a mentor in the WAFL.

Lucky we don't need to go full rebuild mode then.

I assume we'd get nothing for him since he technically "retired" ?

Either way id want Barrass to be playing as the number one tall defender. He's fully developed at a good age to be playing on the best forwards every week. Since that mid season form slump he seems to look much better one on one and i think with more work this preseason he is good enough to do so. That probably makes emac redundant and schoey more valuable.
