Either way id want Barrass to be playing as the number one tall defender. He's fully developed at a good age to be playing on the best forwards every week. Since that mid season form slump he seems to look much better one on one and i think with more work this preseason he is good enough to do so. That probably makes emac redundant and schoey more valuable.

I would retain EMac as he is the only true lock down kp defender we have atm. Gov and Barrass are intercept talls, Schofield is more mobil but struggles against the big gorillas.

Schofield is younger and may assist in a trade scenario.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind Fasolo as I think he will be an upgrade on LeCras and co, but Darling and Barrass as a straight swap? F*** I'd like some of what they're smoking because it's clearly powerful shit.

No wonder clubs often hate dealing with Collingwood.

Ch7 Sports news reporting Adelaide have made an offer to Priddis. Play next year and then coach afterwards. Ch7 also reported Adelaide aren't the only ones asking questions.

So Brownlow medallist, All Australian, F & B would have to a top 10 draft pick (I can only dream)

Do they need to fill their slow plodder quota now that Scott Thompson has retired?

Injuries ruined him unfortunately, he's done at AFL level now.

Melbourne also ruined him.

I wouldn't mind Spencer if Giles goes. If Giles stays, nah, there are better speculative options out there.

Where would Fasolo fit in when we need to get games into Waterman/Rioli/Karpany not to mention Venables on a HFF next season. Allen also showed some promise in the league team this season and Liam Ryan is also a chance

Straight swap for Sloane. They're gonna have to throw in MM as steak knives :p

Just doesn't make sense all over like I've said in the other thread.

Also Priddis already said that he has no desire to coach right?

Taking on the Scott Thompson role

So if Nic and Lycett struggle with fitness we have Vardy and McInnes rucking and nothing at our WAFL club to help with development?

We need a cheap backup who can hold their own at AFL level and provide stability and support in our WAFL development squad.

AN 18 year old cant do that and they also need a mentor in the WAFL.
We're taking Jones from Easr Perth aren't we?

I assume we'd get nothing for him since he technically "retired" ?

Free Agent probably ...pick 88 could be a chance maybe .

If they pay him enough $ 400k season why not ....but he will stay in Perth I reckon he must be knackered from carrying the midfield for so long and has a young family ...... maybe we could offer a rookie spot and if all goes astray next season we can promote Pridda , Pridda is staying fit with Surf Life saving and marathons .:$:rainbow:

We're taking Jones from East Perth aren't we?

Depends on his injury report missed a lot of footy since his U18s football .

No thanks on anything Collingwood as everything coming out of there is overrated due to promotion by media. Wow Collingwood. Must be good.

If fasolo was a Brisbane player, we wouldn't even be talking about it.

Emac is an intriguing case. Bloke is the epitome of a lock down defender and he has a few tools that make him not one dimensional. That said, if we are to go full rebuild mode, id move him on. Purely because i want us to give Barrass the trust to be the number tall defender and develop that side of his game. After all he will be our should be our main lockdown sort for the next 10 years. Gov also has the ability to do a job on the main talls if the worst case happens. In that case id keep schoey on nothing and actually draft a young KPD as well.
The problem with barrass and mcgovern is they are slow . This is why Emac plays on the quick key forwards . That's why emac played on dixon .
Yes barrass is going to be a good defender but he will always struggle on fast forwards

I reckon we could slot him in somewhere on the half back flank

Really only need one ruckman in our senior team. If we are cursed and all the rucks do go down again (assuming Giles does retire) we are probably getting a player par or worse than Giles in that 4th spot.

If you are worried about development at EP there is Scott Jones who is a regular now, and Dean Cox is ruck/midfield coach who can be your Obi Wan Kenobi.

you need to develop Barrass's lockdown skill and he has done some good jobs in his short career in that respect. Pure intercepting talls are bloody overrated. Even Gov could play on the best opposition talls but you take a lot out of his game. Barrass last year against crows showed that he can both defend and interecpt and we now need to give him that main role next season.

TB is way too heavy this season and/or struggling with carrying extra weight. At times when he gets beaten on a 1v1 or on a lead he does look exhausted. He has had shown in the past he can do the lock down work. At the end of the day its either him adjusting to play with the weight or its him cutting back a bit.

Also i don't think Gov is slow at all tho guys like Dixon are freaks.

I know i have been on the no Brendan Ah chee train for a while but i was taken back a bit that he finished second in the SANFL best and fairest.

We will have a weakness in the inside mid spot next year . 4th round pick ? couldn't be worth more
