What are people's thoughts on chasing Matthew Kennedy from GWS? Out of contract at the end of this year. Not sure what he would cost given he was a Pick 13, but at 20 years of age, playing 16 games this year could be a 150-200 game quality mid??

Gaff is quality.
Pick 4 could be a total dud.
Getting known quality (who mind you is contracted) has proven to be worth very high currency in recent years.

From what i know a 1 year deal has been on the table all year but Lecca is going out. Thats what i heard from people that know the Lecras well.

you could say the same thing about pick 1, but a player is only worth what someone is willing to pay, and I highly doubt a club in north melbournes position with almost no elite talent developing is going to want to trade a pick that could net them anything for Gaff. IMO he would be a closer fit for a club that just needs to add a bit of polish to make a difference, as opposed to one that has all sorts of needs. A club like St kilda would find Gaff very handy as they're not far off the mark but just lacking a player like gaff who would compliment their midfield very well. Also they have 2 top 10 picks, 7 & 8 which are closer to gaff's value IMO than pick 4, with maybe some pick swaps later on. Whether the club wants to do it or not I don't know, I'm not even sure if I'd trade him for that, I still feel like he will get back to his 2015 best, but I think that him going to saints for pick 7 or 8 is more likely than going to north for pick 4.
