I think he will be elite, has elite speed and endurance and can kick on both sides of the body.
He loves the contested footy, and can play that half forward/ inside mid role well.
Perhaps we're scoping an inside mid in this trade period instead of a KPF because we're set on swinging Gov forward and not replacing Kennedy in the draft (at least this year anyway).

Can confirm Brayshaw has family here as my dads, brothers wife is some how related to him. However as for the rumor i cant substantiate it unfortunatly. Also can confirm parto has been getting some from someone in my nursing cohort if that ever erupts lol.

Acres lol. Acres hasn't even reached 2015 sheed level yet. People here have short memories and sheed is slowly getting back to his best after an injury interrupted preseason.
Barely got going in '16 too. We look so much better with him playing well.

He surpassed sheed last year. His rising star nom game is better than anything sheed has dished up. This year he is breaking open games. Has sheed covered easily.

I did notice Acres on Friday night v GWS and I thought he was getting the feel of this level now ..HE has pace ,height and good skills ..

He was massive. Can play inside outside, can mark, huge kick. Not sure what his weaknesses are besides production which you assume will improve

Brayshaw would cost an early first rounder minimum

I think we could get away with a mid to late first rounder if he requests a trade. Pick 10-12 is our range, could add an upgrade somewhere along the line.

Brayshaw and Acres are on my wishlist for potential, albeit unrealistic trade targets. Quality players born in 1995 or later should be the criteria. Otherwise we focus on the draft.

Agree. Acres and Brayshaw would cost the same IMO.

What is the future of Emac and Schofield? We have two AFL quality KPDs playing for EP. Surely we have to do something about this, either we play one of them regularly or we move one of them on at the end of the season. It seems to me that poor list management would be retaining someone on your list that you're not using but would be worth more for another club.

If we traded our first for Brayshaw then we would need to secure another second IMO to keep ourselves involved in this draft. If we traded for McGovern as well then we can consider ourselves a non entity in the draft.

Wouldnt go near brayshaw. Anyone with that many concussion issues already is a no go. If we were looking at a similar level midfield talent of the same age would anyone really give a **** if we were a non entity in this draft? I mean if we walked away with say acres + gov jnr would anyone actually be upset?

If we got Acres and Mitch McGov would we have addressed our needs? I think we need to draft/trade for a true KPF to replace Kennedy.

Acres - yes bolsters our midfield
Gov jr - third tall when we already have Darling. Darling isnt a true KPF either

Heard WCE are targeting Angus Brayshaw as he is not getting regular football at Melbourne,
and with his connections to WA, believe he maybe gettable as a trade.

That would be awesome, really rate him. His first few games he looked the goods, but similar to Duggan stagnated after some injuries, but I don't think that will impact his eventual ceiling.

Love Sheed. May look ungainly as **** running, but he is strong at the contest, through the hips and has an accurate left boot.

Keep your Acres

Bang on. Sheed had his best year in 2015 at only 20 years. Unfortunately he was injured for most of last year. Slowly coming good again. Very good player.

He's out of contract at end of year and looking at options before he resigns ..
But that just means we would have marginally more bargaining power if he chose us. I still think we would have to pony up our first. But we have a few spare KPDs they may be interested in.
And they've got another top 10 kpf coming through their academy this year

Yeah you have to envy the academy system. Ballenden looks a great prospect. Hipwood has come along better than they could have hoped. Who knows? We could offer him regular best 22 footy, mentoring from JK and a great club environment.

Angus is grandson of Ian "sticks" Brayshaw who played cricket for WA. He also read the sports news for channel 10 Perth.

Nephew of James the flog who also played cricket for WA.

Schache is worth parting with a 1st rd pick and we have a good trade relationship with Brissy but not sure what deal would satisfy them ..

Brayshaw's concussion history has to be a concern especially since his strength as a player is as a crash and bash inside mid. I doubt that jumping on a plane every second week would be helpful in that regard either

On talent he fills a definite need but the risk has to temper any possible trade offer (assuming he's even interested)
