take it or leave it lads- today i heard from a 100% reputable source that you guys had mcgovern all wrapped up with a bow on him. then you made finals and put a halt to contract talks so he re-signed with the crows a day or so later. my condolences.
Good news if true. We didn't/don't need him.

Sounds like trash to me though. If somebody was set on coming home they wouldn't backflip so fast.

Its a blessing in disguise to be honest. 12 months back i would have jumped at the chance to have baby gov home but now we got bigger issues than adding to our forwardline. Our midfield needs a lot of work done and good chance our first would have been in conversation for the gov jr trade.

F--- I hope it's untrue could he not have released darling to the midfield or eventually taken over from jk

Odd that we would put it on hold just because we made finals.

Odd that he would sign with Adelaide a day later.

Sounds like he was signing with Adelaide anyway and used us as leverage and we found out.

Except that same team last year was one of the worst tackling and softest teams going around. One or two tweaks and things can turn around very quick

Same club, not the same team. Castagna, Butler, Townsend, Caddy, Prestia and Graham are all basically new. No superstars but all are happy to contest. Don't see too many of them hanging off the back of the contest waiting for the easy one out the back.

Tackling intensity week in, week out from this team. We could learn something.
