it's basically lycett for 29 ahchee very little value as they don't play him

I think Lycett for 29 would be fair based on his recent injury history and what other rucks have gone for lately.

We'd need to bring in another cheap as chips backup like we did with Giles in 2015.

rumours of Gaff to Melb and Hogan to WA. Surely we put it to them Gaff and 3rd pick or Vardy for Hogan? Who says no? Get this done Vozzo

I know i've scoffed at gumballs suggesting trading players who have already relocated back to WA in the past, but...

Could Sharrod ever go back to Collingwood? Normally i'd say no chance, but the fact it's hit former club who have rated him highly in the past, his career looks pretty much over at West Coast and he might be told if he wants to continue his career we'll help him get there.

Wouldn't be suggesting it for any other interstate clubs, but for Collingwood i don't think it's as outrageous as i once thought.

I think Wellingham offers more to us than hill and Masten would retain him before the other two

Personally I don't want to trade Gaff at all.

Same.

It would include our first rounder as well if it was any chance of being legit.

I really think that teams from states outside Victoria should get a COLA (like Sydney had...) - or more space in the salary cap in order to attract players to come over. It's hard to attract players with the travel that's required, while you see players ask to be traded to Vic teams every trade period because you basically stay in Melbourne all year.

Ye or non Vic teams cAn contribute 10% of all their profits towards the cap. I think that's more fair :)

Considering West Coast in 2006 were the last non-COLA, non-Victorian team to win a premiership there is certainly merit.

That's not too bad honestly. Though we'd be incredibly light on for rucks in that case, so I'm not sure we'd be able to facilitate it.

Keep Lycett, straight swap pick 29 for Ah Chee.

Screw Port like they did us with Ebert. If they don't take our scraps then they look like the bad guys in the media (club who cant control its players in off-season refuse to send a good WA boy home. Life of crime imminent).

And if Port send him to the draft then there is a good chance he is still around at pick 29 anyway.

McInnes to survive Eagles cuts to squad . McInnes poised to re-sign for a seventh season .

But the decade-long careers of second-club veterans Josh Hill and Sharrod Wellingham appear over , while Tom Lamb will return to Victoria if the Eagles can't provide him with a playing guarantee .

West Coast set to turn over at least a quarter of their current group and next years list is likely to include at least 12 players aged under 22 .

John Townsend ... The West
I thought the club was waiting to see what happened in the trade period to decide on Wellingham?

Think the reporter has drawn an incorrect conclusion there. My guess is we see what we can bring in and then if its Wellingham or taking a late pick we'll just keep him for depth.
