What do we think of Matt Taberner? Reckon he'll fare a lot better in our system?

Would we have him on our list instead of McInness?

Much better depth and he looks a better prospect

Genuinely think he'll play at least half. Could play all. Lost confidence this year but he's not as broken as people think.

He's not the saviour, and he had a horrible run of form this year but I don't think he's as finished as others do.

Issue for Masten is the change in the midfield coming around him. Most of his career form has been in a totally different midfield and is inability to win his own ball or provide spread in recent years means he's not getting protected and his weaknesses as a player exposed.

I thought Arch is worth a 3rd rounder. Using the AFL points system 2 x 3rd rounder is worth a second rounder. All very subjective I know.

Uncontracted, out of state, low salary, people being brought in that play his position and not getting a go at seniors. Really! A 3rd round pick is overs and if you want a sweetener - we will throw in Butler and or Giles.

More likely a 4th or hello pre-season draft.

I also would be happy to be proven wrong, it is also his inability to dispose of the ball when tackled or pressured that must improve.

I think we're realistic and know Arch isn't a champ and I also think a 3rd rounder in this draft isn't as valuable as say last year or even next years draft.

No to a 3rd as there are better prospects in the draft. When a player only getting SANFL time says get me out of here - you will battle to get anything for him. We face the same with Lamb and as much as we want something for them - the match committee have inevitably reduced any value he had.

No to a 3rd as there are better prospects in the draft. When a player only getting SANFL time says get me out of here - you will battle to get anything for him. We face the same with Lamb and as much as we want something for them - the match committee have inevitably reduced any value he had.

Crouch, Sloane, Lynch, Smith, Laird, Atkins all haven't resigned beyond 2018 at Adelaide too. Might lose a couple more next year too.

It had been reported in recent days the race for Motlop was down to two clubs – Port Adelaide and Adelaide.

However, Motlop's manager, Alex McDonald, said the Suns were still a genuine option and he did not rule out the prospect of the speedy midfielder returning to Geelong.

I'm glad to hear this to be honest, we don't want to throw money at a player who has somewhat of a reputation as being lazy (see; Hill, Wellingham, LeCras, Jetta).

You can trade rookie listed players, been around since 2009. It was one of those annual rule changes the AFL loves to make.

Why would we help you out and give up our 2nd rounder as part of the deal for an uncontracted bloke who was pick 45 played 27 games in 6 years and has been fit all year but you refuse to play him

Very reasonable trade tbh, unfortunately for Port he's out of contract and unhappy... anything more than a 4th rounder is West Coast feeling guilty

Actually the players leaving Adelaide is about as real as the inability for WA sides to attract free agents. Not closed minded - facing up to reality.

Back to reality. What do you think is the value of Ah Chee - it would be worthwhile understanding how you come up with it?

Yeah I was going to mention him as well. He was more than handy at carlton, but his form at crows was never great.

To be fair he was trying to crack in to the best forward line in the comp. I feel like he still has more potential than brandon matera, and its probably low risk even if we rookie him
