club has been very public about this - big news for Tripple M I guessIt's not:
https://www.mix.com.au/sport/afl/news/west-coast-veteran-not-offered-a-contract-for-next-year
Colin Young just went on Triple M and basically said he hasn't been offered a contract yet, something we've known for a while.
The URL doesn't help though.

Good lecras replacementThere are three knocks on him.
1. Very injury prone.
2. Only runs one way.
3. No defensive pressure.
So I think we should pass on him.
Funny you say that. I'd rather take a risk with Menzel than what we've done with LeCras for next year.Good lecras replacement

Doesn't seem like much chance now

Lecras AA 2018Funny you say that. I'd rather take a risk with Menzel than what we've done with LeCras for next year.
If he leaves Freo, he will want guaranteed games, which we can't give him with Darling and probably two rucks in the side.

Is the hard part Dustin or Bruce when he gets close to Dustin?
Haha!! Pic edited for accuracy...Is the hard part Dustin or Bruce when he gets close to Dustin?
So would I,he's younger and if his defensive effort goes up he would be awesomeFunny you say that. I'd rather take a risk with Menzel than what we've done with LeCras for next year.
Here2tellyouwhy thoughts?Butler is pretty hard when it comes out of the fridge. Got to let it stand at room temperature for a while before you can spread it on your toast
I thought Arch is worth a 3rd rounder. Using the AFL points system 2 x 3rd rounder is worth a second rounder. All very subjective I know.
Points are definitely important, they're just a measure of the value difference between draft picks. Here we go again. No offence mate but points mean SFA. If you think Ah Chee is worth a third round pick why would we give you our 2nd for him and a third? Would it not make more sense for us just to give you our 3rd? Why would we give Port a better draft position at our expense? Again no offence but so many posters now trying to work out trades based on points allocated to picks; it's fantasy footy trading. In reality no list manager is calculating points unless they are chasing a f/s or academy kid.
Pretty much every trade thread has posters proposing...
"if we give you picks x, y & player A will you give us picks a & b (an upgrade on every round)? It means player a is the equivalent of y points or pick z, that's a good deal for you guys yeah?"
This BF logic really hurts my head!

Pick 1 > Pick 2. But by how much?
Pick 10 > Pick 20. But by how much?
By your logic, Pick 45 is no different to pick 25.
And I would have thought that a pick upgrade being used as value in a trade is quite simple too.Nope never said that. Pick 25 gives you access to potentially the 25th best player in the draft. Pick 45 gives you access to the 45th best player in the draft. I think we can both see the difference in the value of picks 25 & 45. The points system was introduced to try and even up f/s & academy bidding in order to appease Eddie as he was upset over Sydney getting Heeney with a pick in the teens. It really has no bearing on any picks taken by clubs not bidding on such players. Picks are relative to their position, the later they are in the draft, the more players that are off the table when you get to use them. Quite simple really.
