Just a couple of thoughts about Ebert
He was always going to go back to SA and Port. Kind of mad to draft him.
After playing the whole season in the 22, McGinnity of all people was picked ahead of him in the finals. That speaks for itself.
He was heavily criticised on this board when he was playing for WC. It was only when he left that posters seemed to think he was any good.

Im confused. He played in the finals in his last year with the club.

I'm sceptical. Don't have high expectations for him and don't expect him at be a guaranteed best 22 by any stretch.

Still for a late pick that's not bad

That's about where is sits. Wanting out of a club because he can not get a game doesn't elevate him to a must have player just because it is trade week/s.

Thinking about the second part some more. Gold coast have so many second rounders they could be willing to trade our second rounder next year for their pick 24. GWS could be willing to do the same.

Pick 13 and 24 for pick 8 doesn't seem so far fetched. 8 would only be worth it if we were genuinely targetting say higgins and were sure he wouldn't be there at 13.

Trading 13 plus 24 for pick 8 is crazy talk.

Happy to trade next years 2nd to Gold Coast for one of their second rounders plus their third. They most likely wont even use their third pick after the trade period nets them better picks and players.

Our camp even mentioned that after Ah chee we would hit the draft but look at improving our picks using next years picks.

Also read Essendon may look to trading Colyer to help them land Smith, Stringer and Saad.

Would we be interested? And for what?

Apparently we're only after Ah Chee to get his brother next year. He is no good according to old Haggers, and if we are so desperate for a big bodied mid we should have just kept Priddis.

Also we're going to give pick 30 for Coyler.

Im assuming you meant ginna, the reason he krpt him was he was doing what hutchins now does and showed heart unlike some of the other pea hearts he kept

Colyer has some toe. I think I threw his name up last year or the year before as someone who might want off the Bomber train who had some useful attributes for us...but then he resigned.

He's fast. That's his main attribute. Not a great kick and very fumbly, lacks composure. We have one of those already.
