Dont understand the talk about the Ebert trade. He was alwats going to leave, hes an Ebert. Its Port rotalty. We took the pick 28 and moved on. I never rated him much anyway, tough campaigner but WoWee butchered the ball numerous times.

Give Port a 3rd rounder for AhChee and move on. Whats the difference between pick 49 and 60 or whatever

like most (not 100%) I have moved on from ebert and don't even recall details. I do see a player who still has poor disposals.

but ArChee wants to join us. he has some value but this is uncertain. Would you go into a shop to buy a fridge priced at 1500 and offer 2000 because it has some value. the gap 500 also has value.

Strange, up until now i thought Lamb would be worth next to nothing, 4th rounder if we're lucky...

But reading through trade pages on FB, he's rated pretty highly by opposition keyboard warrior fans out there. Saints pick 44 keeps getting thrown up, given his family history at the club. Wonder if we're undervaluing him a bit, he could be an important acquisition to another club.

One way or another i'd like to see him get something out of his career, and it's pretty safe to say his best chance is with ANY other club.

The difference to us could be a local kid we want that won't be there at 67

Would you take pick 28 and a downgrade of our third rounder for say, Duggan?

If Duggan had walked and had joined GC (for example) and was not returning we would take the best offer available to minimise our loss. Mind you Duggan wasn't dropped from finals because he wasn't up to it
I'm not talking about what the club would do, I was talking about whether Cuzz09 would be happy taking that deal.
Ebert at the time had played the majority of his first 4 seasons in the league, Duggan is the closest comparison to Ebert in terms of career trajectory currently on our list. So if Duggan plays virtually all of next season for us and then wants to leave, would you be happy if we were to trade him for pick 28 and a downgrade of our third rounder?

Hello peeps Whats the go with Lamb ? How was hes year in the waffle?

Lamb chops any good ? Hairy Lager big bootaaaaah campaigners :).
He was ordinary , one or two good games, not enough endurance, poor disposal, tries hard may have potential as a wingman one day. Not sc relevant imo.

He was always a project. The question is whether we cut the strings after 2 seasons ala Main or we stick to it for one more... Personally I'd rather give someone like Bailey Banfield or DeLuca the spot, but if he gets it like Main has then it will have paid off.

Dont get the last bit about Main?

Has he come good and improved heaps after we cut him?

If Duggan wanted to leave and we possibly could get nothing then yeah Id take the 28. Never want players that dont want to be at the club. Thats why I wasnt too upset when Judd left.

I'm not saying would you take it, I mean obviously you would if it was a choice between that or nothing, would you be happy with that? Would you feel like you got what Duggan is worth or you got less than Duggan is worth? You said you don't understand all the talk about the Ebert trade, the talk is because we didn't get fair value in that Ebert trade. Despite his limitations pick 28 was under his worth considering his age and the amount of games he'd played, never mind the swap of later picks in Ports favour who acted like they were the ones doing us a solid.

Hi Rocker campaigner...:):thumbsu:
He doesn't work hard enough, is lazy, and is looking East from all accounts...not getting any opportunity either...catch 22 for the lad

Good thing we haven't delisted him yet then, if we had, we'd get nothing. Hope that it happens. Some people think it's a problem that we haven't swung the axe yet, but with 5 spots already free, we certainly could afford to wait until after the trade period. Even if we didn't have that many spots free, regardless of what we think they are worth, keeping uncontracted players on the list until then ensures that if another club is interested in one of them, we'll get something back for them instead of them being picked up as a delisted FA.

Really hope lamb stays at least 1 more year and is given some seniors opportunity on a wing or something. I can't help but feel he will make it somewhere and I just want it to be with us. Looked on his instagram though and **** me he drinks udls it's time he gets a kick up the ass and cains preseason and becomes a major campaigner towards the opposition without dropping his head

Ah Chees biggest concern is consistency of effort. Talent is there, can nail a mean long distance handball. A low risk high reward pick up. Given more opportunity he could flourish. A bit of a late bloomer, he was on the way to delisting before he had a good year then played a few AFL games. Imo that could be an indicator as to why he isn't translating his form to AFL level. Either way, a classic 50/50 pick.

What about:
Pick 50 for ah chee and 62.

Then future 3rd rounder for 39 from suns.

13, 30, 39, 62 and ah chee.
Could be worse .

Any reason why you think he's not had much of a shot with you guys? Is it just the consistency factor?

He wasn't given an extended run, really. Was always bought in for one game then dropped again. I'm not sure why. We had a last in first out policy and Arch tended to take the spot of underperforming seniors who were dropped for one game and then bought straight back.

The coaches obviously didn't rate him for whatever reason and used him as a stopgap. In his b&f speech he said that he was told at the start of the season that he wouldn't be playing much at AFL level in 2017.

Our coaching and structures are very strong on defensive pressure and tackling - which are easily Arch's biggest weak points.

So SPP shops in my clothing store regularly and has asked if we want to sponsor him. I can guaruntee I will be putting in more recruitment effort to get him home than what Brady is doing!
Surely any sponsorship is contingent on a west coast contract
