Just to randomly cut in with a completely different subject: I am starting to convince myself we will take Lochie O'Brien with 13. It just seems like such WC first round pick in the Simpson era - not necessarily a good contested player but elite skills. I actually think he will be decent but the lack of contested game might hurt his ceiling. On the other hand, he could become another Josh Kelly.

In a weird world and a good team skill trumps grunt. Can he tackle and apply pressure?

It will be interesting to see you finishes with the late 20's to pick 31. This will have a large impact on who we land with our second rounder with Melbourne and Essendon currently holding 2 picks. There should be some decent midfielders to chose from assuming there will be some taller players taken in the 20 to 30's based on phantoms and form guides

Venables, if fit, will play every game next season and finish top 5 in the Rising Star. He's good enough to improve our midfield immediately much like Shuey in 2011.

Pick 31 is pretty good value for Jacky Watts.

I'd have spent that given our history with 2nd rounders and the way it could make the polls in this board make more sense.
