There’s a big hole in between there 3rd and 4th picks which is where he could well land.

If there keen to get him you’d have to think 16 is the go.

May need to use 16 to gain Matt Kennedy from GWS as well. Think picks 15 to 20 is around the market value for Kennedy.

I think Redneck Radio last night was saying that Carlton were keen on him during last season. So likely 40 will be lowest he will be picked at if true.

I’ve watched Ryan for Subi a bit. Most recently in the WAFL GF and I like his offensive qualities but defensively and against better opposition he still can get found out.

Can’t predict how consistent he will be at next level up.

I won’t be calling for heads chopped if we draft him but there’s an element of risk attached that wouldn’t be as clear in someone like Schloithe or Jye Bolton even

Kicked 70 odd goals and is worth a punt. We'd then have what most consider to be the best small forwards from both the SAFL (Rioli) and WAFL (Ryan), both untried at AFL. Both look to be dangerous, the types who can go BANG with a clutch of goals in a single quarter. Exactly what a small forward should do.

Thats a smart trade by you guys. Will allow you to draft WA youngsters who might slip beyond the first round. Takes the homesickness factor out of drafting. Not that WC have had many problems with that, but other clubs (Brisbane, GC and Adelaide) have. Good deal by the Eagles, astute trading.

If he is and we take him, that would give us sneezy, Kelly as mature aged ready to go players and 4 kids in the top 30 all for a mini-list clean out of retiring/older players and a couple of pick downgrades in 2018

Which would make this deal 9 + 50 for 20, 21, 26 and 37. I'm happy with that.

GC I don't think are any chance to really do any better than bottom 4 next year. But we have the list to do much better than 10th, so the power is in our hands to make this trade even better for us.

So many picks now...the horrible part is we have over a month to wait until we are able to use them.

I'm not. I have no idea how its going to pan out. Part of me is shit scared this is a continuation of the past 3-4 years where I've been critical of the club for making short term decisions at risk of our future. Potentially we could be looking at a couple of middle of the road mature agers simply to ensure we don't drop off the cliff this year. Alternatively (and I hope!!) it could be that we seriously rate a whole host of players in this draft and want to be in the best possible position to grab them. Effed if I know.

Would be awesome if we moved one of these 2nd rounders for Wilson. I know he's not in the mix for us but crazy things happen and it would help us not slip down the ladder.

Now that our draft picks have likely been finalized and we know what we're going in with, i'd love to see what AsterixTheGaul and Monocle now consider realistic options for all our new picks.

Looks like Starcevich (maybe still reaching with 37), Kelly, Petrucelle, Warpol could still be under consideration.

Will do that after the trade period is complete.

I like the trade a lot, opens up so many options for us.
