Anyone rate Johnny Frampton?
Monocle AsterixTheGaul Eastern Rangers .

Not much of good WA talent coming through and could potentially be picked late or via rookie I guess.

Would like to see us pick a young ruck/fwd and really develop them
Like you I would like to see us pick a young KPF/Ruck or even straight ruck who can rest forward.

I was keen on Strnadica last year and like how he supported Goddard in the ruck at forward stoppages. His 2016 colts was below my expectations and then I found out he had grown another 3 cm. No sh1t Sherlock - the big guys lose coordination when growing so a lesson for us all on being patient.

I will be at the U18 carnival so will be interested. There are some big guys from Vic and Country that interest me.

Frampton? He will need to do more than just ruck. They really need to be high bodied midfielders in the Dean Cox mould. That was the downside on Goddard (Claremont possible draftee last year). Jeremy is starting to get more impact other than rucking but is still only playing ressies. Back to Jonny - he is getting some better disposal numbers and I will be able to give you a better heads up in 4 weeks.

We may need to go more speculative with a big guy that needs to develop more than he has in 2017. Example - we could have got Darcy Cameron as a rookie in 2015 and Sydney went and snavelled him prior to our Rioli pick in 2016. We took Snadden instead! Need I say more.

So a Freo supporter with apparent connections said this on Monday:
I don't know what Patrick Cripps contract status is, but despite what he or Carlton say he has indicated he wants to return home. Freo have spoken at length with his management and continue to do so.

You would think West Coast also know that info and have spoken to his management.

Speaking with Cripps about a return home has nothing to do with losing or retaining Fyfe (at this stage at least).

My preference would be for a key forward but if we do lose Fyfe then Cripps would become a priority.

If Mitch McGovern returned home his preference is Fremantle and not the Eagles.

Don't know how credible his sources are but this is kind of worrying.

Even more worrying if big bro wants to go there with him

Why? Their dad played for them.
I dont think its a huge issue considering he got drafted to a home team. Graham Cornes had so much connection to the crows and despised Port so much and yet both his kids ended up being Port legends.

Fair point, I just hope if they want to play footy together, it's at the Eagles.

Barrass isn't a bad option B though.

Im trying to think the last time an elder bro left to join the club the younger Bro plays for. I still rekon Mitch would have more incenstive to play with Jeremy.

Yeah TB is good plan B.

Interesting CM9000

Why has Freo become the supposed destination land do we think? Flexibility? Public reflection? Do we have a stale feel at the club, more importantly a stale outlook to potential players who want to come home?

Because they throw money around like confetti at a wedding. Always seem to go for any half decent player thinking of returning home.

Hmm, has to be more than that surely?

Whatever it is we simply must #sackwoosha

Jumping at shadows a bit there based on last years trades :

Brad Hill wanted to come home and play with his brother
Cam McCarthy was pursued vigorously by Fremantle because they were desperate to replace Pav
Joel Hamling wanted to come home and Freo were more interested and had mire opportunity for him than we did
Shane Kersten followed his mate Joel

There really isn't that much to it
