Glad to hear JJ is off the table. Desperate to keep our first rounder this year which I suspect might creep into the top ten.

Gaff is an obvious trade as he has some media coverage, is in decline and not a match winner - may get a good second rounder.
Not sure who else would attract more that a third rounder which is useless
Our drafting is the key and our biggest weakness???

Gaff would be a good option for GWS if Kelly leaves and may attract a 1st rd pick ..

Need to find an established inside bull maybe an up and comer who can't get a game to slot into priddis position . Oh wait we have Redden sitting on a flank or at EP wasting away

TBH and i know this is going to sound blasphemous and i may get hunted down and shot for it but i don't think masten would perform significantly worse than gaff playing gaff's role.

Shit i'd happily trade gaff + our first rounder if it meant getting a genuine star inside/out mid.

You'd think if anything, if he actually wants to leave at all, he'll probably more likely to want to return to Melbourne, unless another team lures him with a bigger salary/longer contract.
If the Kangaroos can't land Kelly, they can take Gaff + a player (maybe that potato Lamb?) for their first round pick.

If he's get the sack like expected , anyone else think Buckley would be a good get in the coaching team? I think he could add a lot of value as an assistant coach.

People bagging out Gaff appear to be doing so because other midfielders don't appear to be doing their job. He's not a contested ball winner and in and under player. He's the outside link runner, sure he's a bit down this year on his best, but we need a player like him (and Jetta) on our list, and they are a great wing combo as one is an accumulator and the other is a line breaker.

Fix our Priddis/inside ball issues first then worry about what Gaff is bringing. Not surprising that some of his best games are when we are doing ok inside.

Completely agree with this. Would be more than happy to trade Gaff and play Masten in his role if it meant we would get a decent pick in return.

Anyone have any thoughts on the the following

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-07-11/worth-a-look-wafl-stars-pushing-their-draft-case

I take it Liam Ryan is going to do a Jetta, someone we could have put onto the rookie list for nothing, but now we'll need to shell out a decent pick if he's not picked up by someone else first. Glad we don't have a glaring hole at small forward that we could have used him for....

Schloithe looks a likely mature age pick , actually that list of players would be capable of playing AFL , Kelly and Schloithe two the Eagles should be looking at to boost the midfield as rookies or lower draft pick

SD Corey Gault quit AFL last season but is a mobile ruckman / Forward ,
SD Alex Howard probably wont be looked at but is impressive as a defender .
SD Warrick Wilson , best kick of the footy indigenous player fron clontarf who would be a long shot pick but if he gets the ball he can use it excellently ,
SD Tryce Stewart 19 yr old , played in the 18s for WA just recently kicks goals has pace and strength just needs a tank ,

SD Colts Charlie Camerons younger brother could be one to look at as a rookie

Ps I support SD
