That almost sounded like you were criticising the club in some way

I prefer to not join in on the negativity that often happens after a loss. Believe me, there are things (and quite a lot of people) with the club that I despise, but I reserve my criticisms because:
A. People do read the things we say on here, most significantly players.
B. It's just utterly pointless ranting when it has no impact on the club whatsoever. It's just a waste of energy for me getting outraged about the club and its future.

However, I do like to challenge people's negative thinking, as I feel it can be a good way to start some proper discussion.

I hope they read how soft we think they are

Hey Matt, hows it going?
You have been a bloody good servant of this footy club and i thoroughly enjoyed you winning the 2014 Brownlow medal. That said, it seems like father time is catching up with you and your form has dropped over the last 12 months. Its seems like you're holding a few of your younger teams mates back and it looks like you are being bit selfish. Can you please do the team thing and retire?

Love Vish :kissingheart:

If you're going off the majority of melts on here, I can guarantee that it does more harm then good.

I've always avoided shittalking people online, both celebrities and close relations, since it can affect people. But when all those news stories broke out about players dealing with depression, and others talking about how impactful hatred on social media can be, I've tried to keep a tighter lid on what I say.

Meh, not like we're directing it at specific players twitter or social media pages. I think they've got better things to do than read bigfooty.

Agreed. Far enough calling someone out with a fair, reasonable and constructive criticism but 90% of the comments on here are anything but.

It makes reading the forum pretty easy as you can skim read and ignore most.

I reckon there would be a few players browsing on here. They probably get together and have a laugh at times.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bigfooty contributed to Tom Boyd's depression. He cops it bad on the bay.

You're entirely correct, a majority of players would focus more on Twitter and Facebook as they're more popular then BigFooty, but in all likelihood, there would be a group out of the 800 currently playing who prefer to read our analysis then the brief messages on most social media sites.

However, that also means BigFooty usually has more passionate and involved supporters, and the reactions fuelled by emotion can often times be incredibly harsh.

This is purely an educated guess though, so I could be wrong.
