I love Gov in the team...but if he does want to go this would be a good chance to get two top 10 picks now. We keep Emac and Schofield and draft another KD with the later pick. We have Barrass too.

I agree it is probably BS becasue to me it sounds like all this noise has been made to get Adelaide to pony up the cash for the younger Brother. If he does leave i think it will be when they are both FA's in the future where it is easier to get to the same club.

He's going to attract some serious $$$ league wide.
Assuming we keep him, that's already a decent chunk from the rumored war chest we have.

Because we are good at keeping things relatively quiet (Mitchell last year was out of the blue). We might not look like we are doing much but we'd still be doing a lot behind the scenes that doesn't come out because it was unsuccessful. Freo are going to look like right idiots when half, if not all, of those links form to nothing.

This time last year not one person had caught wind that Sam Mitchell would be playing for us in 2017. Nor Jack Redden in 2015.

West Coast tend to do things a bit more quiet and subtle than Fremantle.

Definitely much better than waiting until Gov is a FA next year and accepting whatever the AFL hands out to us. Need to ask Gov straight away whether he wants to stay with us for the rest of his career or if he wants to eventually move to Freo. No point trying to get him to stay if he doesn't want to be here. Might as well get maximum return for him if it's inevitable that he will leave in the next couple of years. That being said I hope that Adelaide re-signs Mitch to a long term deal...
