Its not just the flying. Melbourne is a lot more appealing than here. The city has more options and all of the media is there.

Subjective as all heck. Give me Perth over Melbourne any day.

Sydney I'd consider though. :)

Sydney is out of control busy with the traffic impossible to describe. Everything is dominated by NRL and the only footy you get is Swans and Giants.
Traffic doesn't bother me much and I'd adapt to being a Sydney AFL fan.

As I said, subjective.

I drive 52km's to work and it takes me 1 3/4 hours. That's just normal without and accidents. It took me 9 hours to get home once.

The Swans and Giants do give away general admission tickets each week though:thumbsu:

So you waste about 20 hours of your life each week travelling to and from work? **** that!

that sounds horrible tbh. I'd rather live in a place like perth or adelaide tbh.

Sure if I were the Crows I would counter that with stuff your 2018 first we will take your 2017 pick 9 plus 27 for McGovern plus pick 17.

Obviously both clubs are trying to get the best deal they can. Eagles 2018 pick could end up being a top 5 pick however depending where they finish which would be a nice upgrade for the Crows.

McGovern is a tough trade as our picks arent quite right, 9 is too low and 27 wont be fair either. So some form of pick upgrades or a player is needed.

If Charlie Cameron leaves as well then the likes of Partington and even Karpany can come into consideration as that would be two medium forwards the Crows need to replace.
Our second and partington for mcgovern is a great way to fix our midfield

Wouldnt say no to him. Looks a good player and clearly quick. My dream off season would be:

Trade: Gaff, Lamb, pick 9, pick 48 to Saints for pick 4, pick 8 and Acres

Trade: Masten to Essendon for pick 50

Trade: Pick 50 to North for Mountford

Retire: Priddis, Mitchell (Midfield or Stoppages Coach), Butler, Lecras, Brophy
Delist: Tunbridge, McInness, Hill, Giles, Gorter
Promote: Snadden, Watson

ND:
#4: Dow/Cerra/LDU
#8: Brander/Hayes (I'm tempted to take another midfielder, but a replacement for Kennedy is needed) if not Clark/Brayshaw
#27: Petrucelle/Wooller/Sambono (torn between outside speed and another future KPF)
#66: T.Kelly/L.Ryan
#82: Banfield

RD: (recruit from the WAFL where the majority of our success has been with the RD)
S. Jones, B. Miller, B. Starcevich, J. Patmore, G. Narrier

Like it but I don't think the Saints would go for that trade, maybe Gaff, Lamb, pick 48 for pick 8 and Acres would get it over the line.

Yeah its ambitious - Lamb is probably worth a fourth given he could play regularly, I just think we haven't developed/played him. Gaff is an AA outside mid which replaces Montagna and is worth a first in his own right. Pick 9 for 8 is a one position swap which the two clubs probably discuss about who drafts who and makes a gentleman's agreement. Acres comes across for effectively a third and a fourth rounder. As a WA boy it would help if he nominates us and Lamb nominates the Saints.

Yeh, Gaff's worth a first rounder, just don't think St Kilda would give up pick 4 for him

Agree however I'm on the clock from the time I leave home so I'm getting paid for it. Otherwise I wouldn't do it.

Then you have the tolls as well which can be $30 to $40 a day.

Saint won't give up pick 4 when they have pick 8 or 9, why would they?

Having two early first rounders and really wanting to make finals next year would lead to them trading their later first rounder for a player who would help them in 2018.

Now if you offered up Gaff + Darling then they may just be interested in coughing up both picks. But multi player multi pick trades gets complicated and quickly unrealistic.

I lived in Sydney for over 4 years - the only other city I would consider living. Real Estate is now expensive though. I'm happy living here in Perth but can understand the young guns wanting to live in either Melbourne or Sydney. Depends upon what you're looking for. If you like surfing then you can't beat here in the West or NSW. As far as the media goes, that would be the reason I would stay out of Melbourne:rolleyes:. Restaurants/to buy a coffee are cheaper in Melbourne but yes, subjective certainly!

Brisbane did it for fevola. Setup a great culture

Armfield was the pick we gave carlton for kennedy + pick 3 judd trade. Flamin Masten the worst pick we ever had hope he also retires.
I'm not Masten fan but to say he's the worst pick we've ever had...

Yeh, then we are in agreement aren't we!

The additional point I was making was that the Saints in their position would be looking to use at least one of their two first rounders on a quality ready made player. They and the coach are under pressure to deliver next year and make finals.

For the right deal they would use both, but that would be for a Kelly type mid or a gun KP player.
