If we were to trade with North then they could be interested in Gaff, Masten and Lamb.

We could do something like this:

Gaff, Masten and Lamb for pick 4, pick 22, Mountford

We lose an AA mid, an experienced mid and a project player for two high picks and a mid.
Do you want to have another go at that?

Gaff for 4 - Overs
Masten for 22 - Overs
Lamb for Mountford - Overs

God I hate trade period

Gaff is worth pick 4 + something else (2nd rounder? Pick upgrade?). Of course he is not at Josh Kelly value (two top 10 picks said to be the asking price) but is still an established AA midfielder renown for his durability and is only 25. I know he's a bit of a whipping boy on this board but he's still worth quite a lot on the market, particularly being under contract for next year. Given how weak our midfield is looking with Pritchell's departure, I wouldn't want to trade him unless it's part of a plan to get Kelly, as unlikely as it seems.

A good deal for Gaff would be North 1st rd pick and a exchange of 2 nd rd picks this year plus North 's 2 nd rd pick next year 2018 ..

WCE get Pick 4 and 21 this year plus a mid 20's pick next year ..

WCE picks 4 ,13,21 etcetera

You're taking the piss yeah? That's close to what we got for Judd?

No he isn't.

We'd get shafted in any Gaff trade IMO, hope he has no intention of leaving.

No he isn't.
A sample of midfielders traded for 1st rounders in the last three years:

T Mitchell for 14 & Swap of 3rd R
Prestia for 6 & Swap of 2nd R
Redden for 17
Treloar for 7 & Swap of 2nd with 2016 1st R
D Beams for 5, 25 & Crisp

I rate Gaff lower than Beams and Treloar, but higher than the other three, with Prestia being the closest IMO. That means Pick 4 is at least in the ball park, perhaps we would need something going back their way rather than to us as I previously suggested. Keen to hear where you would rate Gaff.

All hypothetical though, i haven't seen anything yet that would suggest Gaff was on the way out.

WCE get: pick 4, pick 22, 2018 pick 22ish
North get: Gaff, Pick 32-34ish

Judd deal was
WCE get: kennedy, pick 3, pick 20
Carlton get: Judd, pick 46

Nowhere near the mark IMO.

The Judd deal was basically 2 top 10 picks [pick 3 + Kennedy a pick 4] and a pick 20

Gaff deal pick 4 + a swap of 2nd rd picks and a future 2018 2nd rd pick ..

Simply put its 2017 1st rd Pick plus a future 2018 2nd rd pick ,the exchange of picks in 2017 is a sweetener ..

Pretty similar I would have thought. Kennedy had under performed and was quite unknown. His value wouldn't have been much higher than pick 22

It's not gonna happen mate, the best we could hope for is pick 4 but even that won't happen. I'd have his value around pick 7-10 and then maybe a swap of similar valued 2nd rounders, not a pick in the mid 30's with a pick in the low 20's.

How does Lecras form warrant a one year extension and when Priddis was apparently shown the door for his? ffs
