We've already got two slower inside mids slotted into the 22 for next year in Sheed & Hutchings.

was a rumour Alex Fasola is wanting to come back to perth then we should diffently get him. is a gun player when up. forward crumber we need.

we should consider trading Gaff for Saints pick 7 as they have said they want outside midfielders and willing to trade pick 7.

Get Brandon Matera as another small crumber that can be quality when he is on.

use pick 7 and pick 13 or whatever it is we get on two midfielders in the draft. Both should be able to play inside and outside. the way the game is these days. you cant be one demensional.

need to draft another forward/part time ruck aswell.

yeah they will be cheap but agree with the excitment in Rioli and draft Ryan.

small forwards has been a huge problem for years so having Rioli, Ryan, Fasolo, Matera and Cripps is what we need for depth.

Lecras and Hill will be delisted.

Fasolo is also a suspect set shot for goal. I dont really follow the pies but the general consensus is he provides no defensive pressure.

Id rather take mayne (sarcasm) off the pies hands in exchange for our 3rd round pick and the pies 60% of maynes salary. Same set shot conversion but is a pressure forward.

To be honest i dont want us to bring in any of these players.

Yep he has the right attitude to succeed, for sure.

If u aren't hated, u aren't seen as a threat.

Defence was top 3 in the comp this year and won't change. Forward line will gain rioli and vernables next year, as well as vardy as now a second ruck who can take a contested grab up forward.

Midfield is obviously the issue. Nic Nat, shuey, sheed and reddo is a good starting point. However given the lack of A graders left on the market, i almost think we need to bite the bullet and train yeo up in the midfield. As good as he was off HB this year, his explosiveness with shuey, and reddo and sheed supporting in an under will at least give us a middle of the road midfield with still a very good forward line and backline in place. And another pre season for the likes of duggo/nelso/cole off HB, it just seems like the logical move at this point.

Yeo has all the tools to be an elite midfielder (explosive pace, can break a tackle, is a long powerful kick). He just needs to work on his fwd 50 entries over the pre season, rather than bombing it long every time

Plus Yeo seen alot of the ball because the ball bloody lived in out defensive 50 because we get made piss in clearances. Simmon needs to be proactive, gee the ball is always in our defence better put Yeo down there to mop it up, umm nah how about you fix the glaring problem that is our midfield and get the fukn ball into our fwd line so our AA Coleman medalist can kick bags. Bite the bullet with Yeo put him mid full time, he has shown great potential there and needs time to develop his craft in there.

Ex Hawks player, struggled with injury at Gold Coast. Inside mid who's strength is contested ball, weakness is leg speed. Only 25.

Because clubs need role players who can tag.

And you dont use good draft picks or gun players to tag or play basic defensive roles.

Article says trading Kennedy isn't really an option but that we have been quietly working for months on trade options and have cash to dangle.

Jake Patmore Colts Claremont another 25 possessions today , not up to his 49 the other week but hope we get Patmore can find the ball .
Fremantle keen so hopefully we can add to our picks but for all I know we probably have no interest but Patmore is a neat player .

In my opinion I give a player 50 games before you can really judge as to how they will go as it takes 2-3 pre-seasons before their body is really able to withstand the rigours of AFL to compete with the top teams during finals.

If they can play 50 games in their first three years then you would think they have something and that's why they are playing regularly. But what if it takes 5-7 years to play 50 games? That to me is a club who is hoping a player will deliver something they can't.
Every club has to have depth but surely 99% of players that are recruited are recruited to be first 22 players at some point on a regular basis.
Why are we holding on to Fraser McCinnes? What is the club seriously expecting from him? They have seen his best. What about Karpany, do they really think he is going to become a 30-40 goal small forward? They are dreaming if they are.
The point with all this is our club waits way to long with its players finding out what they already knew after a couple of seasons.

Pick 7 on Higgins and 13 on Hunter Clark.

Trade pick 30 for the best option available as our history with second round drafting is embarrassing.

Third round go for a Kelly or Ryan mature age type?

Higgins touted as being AFL ready for next year.

We should offer Brendan Ah Chee a half decent contract then chase his brother with decent coin. For Calum we offer Gold Coast Masten plus pick 30? If needed add a future pick swap like our next years 2nd for this years Gold Coast 3rd which is pick 37?

Ah chee would be a great Le cras replacement and Brendon adds inside midfield depth as is only 23.

Few things going on it seems Hurn reckons Lecras can go on for another two years but its all about commitment to the cause and Lecras needs to prove that he has that commitment to playing on .......

We are trading a very good mid for a chance at a good mid . Ide rather stick with gaff .

Coniglio has no interest in returning and I highly doubt Cripps does either.

No you don't, but tagger or not in todays game you need to have better skills than Hutchings does, whatever your role.
