I think Chris (young talent time) rates him as the best big IM in the draft. Haven't seen much of him myself, but over 190cm and a full time IM.

Nicholas Shipley heard WCE are strongly considering bidding on this GWS prospect.
And are prepared to use pick 13 on him.

Dont know a lot about him so will be looking into him now.

If so does that mean GWS would have to use both their 2nd round picks to get him? If that's the case they wouldn't have another pick until the 4th round. Assuming they matched, this would effectively mean they would be out of the race for Tim Kelly.

I think given we are miles off flag contention we should try to move on all non - elite players aged 28 or older, such as Masten. Tell him his opportunities will be limited and encourage him to find another club. Create some more cap space and put games into the younger players.

Looks like he is a genuine inside mid 190cm and has good pace

I took a glimpse at his highlights and he does seem to cope well in congestion so immediately thought he had midfield potential.

It will be interesting to see where this kid lands given most of the BF recruiters either have him unlisted or outside their top 60

He has described himself as a defender in interviews so that's where I got the defender thing.

Yeah, seemed to turn it over a bit in the Allies highlights and is really reliant on handball as the first option. Not necessarily a bad trait for an inside mid.
His handball action on occasion looks awkward too. Understandable as a Sydneysider coming from a soccer background.
Seems a left field option for our first pick but given the O’Brien factor not entirely surprising...

Two big fellas in the midfield with good skills and can take a mark in the forward line. Go to the draft with 2 first round picks, Pick up Kelly for 30 ? Venables to come in. Yes 3 year extension but the original post said 3 year deal which could have been misinterpreted that he was out of contract at the end of the upcoming season. Just wanted everyone to be clear that if we can't trade him, we're stuck with him for 2 more entire seasons of pain

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that they have to use the picks directly after our bid in order to match. So they would have to end up with another pick below our pick 30 to get Kelly (assuming we value him with our second rounder).

Masten for Coniglio and McInnes for Hogan. And Miranda Kerr in my lounge room.
