Before we start thinking we have loads of money to spend on free agents, we have Gaff, Yeo and McGovern all coming out of contract at the end of 2018. I suggest we will do well to focus on nailing these 3 down and making sure that we keep the A graders we have. I would imagine Yeo is up for a substantial increase (B&F plus AA) while the other 2 probably need to be north of $600k pa. Melbourne paying Lever $750k is so overs it could distort the perception of players signing on.

Interesting how the AFL Players Association had negotiated the increase based on all players needing to be remunerated and the reality is that the 20% has not worked down to all and predominantly stayed withe the elite few at each club.

7+8+ acres for gaff,13 and next years first. 7+8 for cripps. Overs maybe on cripps and a touch of unders on gaff maybe but that us a couple of other mature agers in ah chee and tim kelly would dramatically turn our midfield around.

So just read that we have offered our 4th round pick but Port want our 3rd round pick, but are prepared to delist Ah Chee and force him to go to the draft. Kinda ridiculous that Port are prepared to get nothing for him, and a bit suss that Brendon is seemingly willing to be picked up by any club whatsoever.

This is how it stands for me right now.

Ah Chee for pick 67 = Good
Ah Chee and Port's 2018 4th rounder for pick 48 = Ok (Ah Chee's value = pick 49-65)
Ah Chee and pick 66 for pick 48 = Ok (Ah Chee's value = pick 54)
Ah Chee for pick 48 = Bad

Nathan Wilson being let go by GWS for a second rounder in the mid twenties but AhChee Port want pick 47 ...just doesn't equate . Fremantle getting a great deal or we are being screwed over for a player who hasn't proven himself .
