I can already see the player we'll be drafting..

First you would've had to have watched 2016 footage because he would've been sidelined with an injury for the majority of this year.

A midfielder with a lack of pace and drive. Who has average foots kills BUT is 'quick in the mind'

Someone who will need to spend his first two years of development solely at East Perth

And who has a better chance of being delisted rather than re-signed when his rookie contract is up

From the AFL website:

"But Rawlings said no rival clubs had shown interest in the No.3 pick from the 2007 NAB AFL Draft.

"We've still got high hopes that Chris can get back to his best, so we'll be backing him in to get back to his best football (next) year," he said. "

:sadpanda:

Lol well there goes the fanciful suggestions of many posters who were using Masten as some way to upgrade any of our picks. Noone wants him because he's garbage.

If only larrikin was a list manager, that would be the only way we'd get something for him

Motlop has spent the last two days touring the Adelaide clubs, wonder if he will make it to Perth and tour the Eagles HQ.

Pants I think he will end up in SA .

My money would be on Adelaide as they will have the most coin to offer.
Port have a sizable offer in front of Rockcliff and are chasing Watts, both theses players will want more money than Impey and Trengrove were on.

Lets be honest here, this is a money motivated move by Motlop.

IMO Adelaide should trade Cameron for pick 18 or 12 to Brisbane, Motlop replaces Cameron.

The Crows ( after Lever is traded to Melbourne ) may well find themselves with three first round picks in this years draft to restock on quality young kids, thats quite an enviable position for a Club that just lost on the last day of the season, to be in.

I'm more keen on Kelly than ah Chee to be honest. Wouldn't mind ah Chee at a 4th rounder but he seems like another midfielder lacking versatility. At least with Kelly he seems like he could play a multiple roles.
I don't live in Perth anymore, thankfully, so I haven't seen Kelly play, ( have you ? ) from the highlights I have seen, I seriously don't get the love for this guy.

He's a very good WAFL player who looks to have traits that would translate to AFL. You're right though, he's a mid draft pick, he shouldn't be attracting the attachment that this board has for him.

Would be frustrating to know we inquired but didn't give him the tour. Certainly think he does end up in Adelaide (not Port) but I wouldn't rule GC out, they could offer some decent coin.

Colyer the key to Dons' deals?
Michael Gleeson reports that Travis Colyer could shape as the player to bring in an extra draft pick for Essendon and help them land their three trade targets – Jake Stringer, Adam Saad and Devon Smith.

Colyer, a quick West Australian, could be traded back home – West Coast are looking for an outside pace and run player who could go forward.

Apparently this is journalism. There doesn't need to be any indication whatsoever from either party to link them. Also, do not want.

A slightly above average WAFL toiler. 10+ years on our list?

So do we trust our List Management team not to blink? The Sneezer looks a good pick up but not for a 3rd.

How about we trade Schofield to add depth in talls?
For experience perhaps. With Clurey, Marshall, Austin, Howard & Hombsch they've already got their pick of young key players to play defense. Howard/Marshall still up in the air by position, but the fact Trengove maybe seeking a look elsewhere says a bit.

he plays one good game in 5-10 and is an absolute front runner.

Why the frustration?

The frustration in knowing that we are/were keen but didn't take it any further.

He is a talent as well who would be best 22 and not cost us a pick.
