You'd hope that there are some contracted players on the list earning significantly more in 2018 than in 2019.Can quite easily front end the contracts and then that spare cap is brought forward a year or 2.
That runs counter to a lot of the arguments made previously; in that with Mitchell and Priddis' retirement we now have significantly more salary space available under the cap for 2018. You're right, who knows? Can't have it both ways. My gut feel is we re-sign Wellingham in order for salary floor compliance, and if we don't it is because we're harder up against the cap than most perceive.Mitchell wouldn't have been on massive dollars and priddis. Who knows.
