Cals Phantom draft on trade radio

Pick 1 - Cam Rayner (Brisbane Lions)
Pick 2 - Luke Davies-Uniacke (Gold Coast)
Pick 3 - Paddy Dow (Carlton)
Pick 4 - Adam Cerra (North Melbourne)
Pick 5 - Aaron Naughton (Freo)
Pick 6 - Jarrod Brander (Pies)
Pick 7 - Andrew Brayshaw (Saints)
Pick 8 - Jaidyn Stephenson (Saints)
Pick 9 - Nick Coffield (Dogs)
Pick 10 - Darcy Fogarty (Crows)
Pick 11 - Jack Higgins (GWS)
Pick 12 - Hunter Clark (Brisbane)
Pick 13 - Oscar Allen (WCE)
Pick 14 - Charlie Constable (SYD)
Pick 15 - Sam Hayes (RICH)
If that is how it goes on draft night from 1 to 12, I would be happy with Constable at 13. Pissed off is we took Allen. About as useful for our list as another KPD. We have to hope that Naughton and Brander are taken early. Both Pies and Dockers need who Cal allocated and possibly St Kilda needing another tall. I expect the rest to go mids.

Can anyone actually confirm if we can trade our 1st pick next year? I thought you could trade a future 1st OR future later round picks. But if you trade a future 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc you can't then trade your future 1st. Does the pick swap for Ah Chee count as trading our future 3rd?

Is any of that correct? Does anyone know? I suspect the AFL hasn't actually defined a lot of this and it may all be a bit of working it out on the go.
3rd is ok. Only 1st and 2nd as I'm aware of.

Its going to be interesting if Weller doesn't go this year. How awkward is it going to be for him next year.
He is used to wearing the purple clown suit so he can cope with embarrassment!:straining::straining::straining::straining::straining:

Brown or Gibbs asked to go but they didn't have an interview during trade period saying the club would be silly not to take the offer or say we are going next year anyway

Ryan O'Keefe requested trade to Hawthorn, was refused and won Normie...

Dogs will take Allen to replace Stringer ..

I had a dream about me and hunter Clarke at some Festival. Hopefully that is a good omen. That said I started losing all my hair in that dream as well. So I'm conflicted about this dream.

Take one for the team.

Terry Wallace here to give us list advice! Awesome!

He's the architect of Richmond's flag!

Even though only about three of his former players were in the premiership side.

Pretty sure you're correct on this - we can't trade our future 1st and future late round picks from the same year.
AFL general counsel Andrew Dillon said the following rules would govern trading of future draft picks:

- Clubs can trade one year in the future only.

- Clubs must make at least two first-round selections in each four-year period. If they don't, they will face restrictions from trading any further first-round draft picks.

- If a club trades a future first-round selection, it may not trade any other future selection from that same draft. But if a club keeps its future first-round selection, it can trade any of its future selections from other rounds.
Given we have traded our 2018 3rd Round pick we can only trade our 2018 2nd Round, 4th Round and 5th Round picks in this trade period.
