Eastern Rangers I'd be interested in your view on Patmore. He has his detractors on here but from what I've seen I think he's easily a second round talent this year. Good by hand, neat by foot (not great), high production. I don't know how quick he tests but he seems to move well laterally.
Tim Kelly played wafl footy on his skills alone with not much hard work until the last two years.
Was a one way runner for many years as his fitness wasn't good enough
In the last two years he has got a lot fitter and taken his game to another level.
His two way running this year was a highlight along with his centre clearance work which was amazing
But why didn't we get any FAs?

F No, he's not as soft as Wells was.

Glides a bit like him though and has similar mannerisms, I reckon.
I've taken to calling Tim Kelly "A more inside, poor mans, Daniel Wells" but I've only seen him play WAFL twice and that was more incidental than actually watching for him.

Reasonably happy. After the season ended i was hoping that we would be able to pick up a couple of the best young mids from the state leagues that could impact next year in the midfield. Archie and Kelly if drafted fit the bill. We should also be able to pick up a decent kpp slider as well with Kennedy at the back end of his career. This is all dependant on avoiding our second round curse

Kerr was 178cm and 80kg.
I'm a bit wary of trading our first next year, but if both us and GC keep our respective spots on the ladder the difference won't be too huge. Just chuffed that it looks like we have a plan for drafting this year and have had the balls to go for it.

We win the flag and GC win the spoon we only lose a spot or two. Genius.
Its a fairly bold strategy trading away a first rounder but also pretty good in the knowledge GC will more than likely stink it up again.

Yep.
GAJ, Lachie Neale, Dylan Shiel, Rory Sloane, Tom Mitchell aren't Giants either but all are damn good clearance players.
Time and tine again, too much emphasis is put on size when talking about clearances.
A good footballer first...Every time.

Not confident about what has hapenned here.
Our drafting record in last 5 - 10 years in terms of finding best available talent with every pick has been pretty ordinary. Not one of the worst in the league but nowhere one of the best either. Which is why we are not in flag contention.
And if you look at the history of the draft, it is not uncommon at all to look back at weak drafts in the past and not recognise a single name after the first round. Like every player or nearly every player drafted after the first round by all the collective clubs failed to have kind of significant career. And everybody says that this is a weak draft.
So we are really backing ourselves to pull a rabit out of the hat multiple times here despite a pretty poor recent record. So like i say, i am not confident that this is going to turn out well.
