Bonar only did one ACL. There is a podcast on AFL.com Road to the Draft that covered that. The original ACL was not perfect post procedure so they went back and did a fine tune. It appears that he is fine now.

Where he goes is probably one of the biggest questions. I think he will be taken late teens and may even slide to 30. So he could well be in for picks that we are holding. Not sure if we have interviewed him but he is seen as a high end talent. With multiple picks, he offers a lot as a higher risk reward.

Very much high risk high reward. If he didnt have injury concerns he would be top 5 material.

Do we take a risk here?

If none of Brayshaw, Clark, Higgins or other highly rated mid slides due to having five picks we maybe should take a punt.

A leader of men is a leader of men, and make no mistake, Mitch is a leader of men..
In the same mould as Woosha who is also a leader of men which was why Essendon got into his ear. Of course Mitch at his peak was a better footballer, but Woosh was also no slouch! All we can do is wait and see it play out.

On the assumption we get a mid at 13 - I would be happy to pull the Bonar trigger at 21.

I was pulling the bonar trigger long before 21..............

It's just an opinion or an alternative way of looking at things than the way you are looking at them. No need to insult people for having a different opinion.

And wouldn't this board be boring to read for any of us if the only people posting on here all had the exact same opinon as we have?
Yet you're comfortable calling me a nuffie because my opinion differs from that of journos and 'AFL experts'.

Hypocrisy much?

NicNat is having knee problems ..had minor meniscus operation on reconstructed knee in the last month .

Haggers reckons could be a degenerative knee .

I think we need another ruckman come draft time , not that I should listen to Haggers but all the same I have zero faith in either NicNat or Lycett being available throughout the year , even Spencer as a delisted FA might be an okay idea also Scott Jones would be handy also if is over injury concerns .

I think the other chance might be Ben Miller through the draft or Sam Hayes .

If Naitanui has a degenerative knee then shouldn’t he have experienced knee trouble before the ACL? Where did you you hear about the recent knee problems and the minor operation?

Hagger's on the radio this morning there is an article on NicNat this morning ...sounds like a minor cleanup of the knee that many players have this time of year .
The club is going to need to look after NicNat not sure he will play past thirty which is the same for many combative footballers .

Hagdorn sounds the injury death knell for our players so often it's become a joke. According to him JK's arm was supposed to have fallen off by now FFS.

Sorry, but I completely disagree with this. They are rebuilding and rather than doing it slowly bit by bit with a couple of average picks each year as we consistently sit mid table, they have taken the punt to go pretty hard in this draft with 5 earlyish (or earlier) picks. This is a clear re-build strategy.
we have a solid 25 seasoned players which should hopefully play the majority of games .

This is our rebuild -
Karpany venables partington rioli Cole nelson mutimer rotham allen lamb Watson bayok waterman snadden + 5 draftees

We are in a really good position
