Dunstan has more value to us than we would get for him in a trade, may as well keep him, needs to win more contested ball though as he's not even close to quick enough or good enough by foot to be getting sub 10 CP almost every week.

Robbo's article just fluff. All it says it that Essendon like every club is interested. No offer tabled but are curious.
Unnamed source says they are deep into Kelly. I for one would be angry at my club for not putting feelers out. There will be a number of articles like this one until Kelly lets everyone know.

And seriously trade Dunstan? What koolaide are we drinking? Bloke is starting to improve and has leadership written all over him but we want to trade. Jesus talk about robbing Peter to pay Paul.

To be clear I was answering a hypothetical "what are they worth?" question. I, and nobody else as far as I can see, suggested for one second we want to trade dunstan. I reckon he will be a ripper and have no interest in trading him
I agree. I reckon he will be the bull in the midfield. Only 22 as well. Plenty of upside.

What the **** do Essendon have to offer? Pick 10?!?! Sweet jesus we are all ******!!
Once again, as a GWS poster had written, Kelly is gone but doesn't want to screw the club over. That puts us on box seat if Jelly was to say to GWS, righto I'm happy to go Dons or Saints. Go with the best deal. Hard for many to beat us.

Sounds like a good idea on paper. I have a solid contact inside Geelong who tells me they think he is cooked. Has been given a number of fitness tests throughout the year he can't get through. Pretty much doesn't train, Geelong are not confident in his long term future. He is only getting a game at the moment because Geelong are carrying a number of injuries.

Don't want personally.

If Kelly leaves it to GwS to find best deal we're not in pole position. GWS are in the premiership window and need mature talent not more first round talent to incubate and lose 4 years down the track... they will most likely engage us in a three way trade if Kelly comes to us...

We are one bad mistake against Port from being in the eight and desperately trying to hold out Melbourne, West Coast and the Bulldogs with a must win against the Tigers this week. Same problem different perspective.

What we needed to do this year was win one against Melbourne, knock off Essendon AND pinch the Port game.

I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact that if we are going to make finals in 2018 we are not only going to have to rely on improvement from incumbent best 22 players. But rather we are going to need one, maybe two at the very minimum, fringe players or a debutant to suddenly become AFL standard if we are seriously going to challenge without bringing in a gun.

That falls somewhere on the spectrum of doubtful to hasn't got a shit show in hell.

We 100% need improvement. We 100% need an elite ready made player.
Percentage is a good indicator more often than not. 11-12 wins is where we are at. Perhaps unlucky not to have beaten WC (especially, putrid umpiring and goal kicking) and port, but we would have been rolled in finals anyway. At the moment the saints are simply an average side. Neither weak nor strong. Fortunately there is plenty of room for improvement in the younger players that will hopefully drive the team and the results forward.

I think Kelly plus another preseason would be an enormous boost. Rejuvenated coaching staff as well.
