We will not know where Kelly and Martin goes until after the finals and hopefully we are in with a chance. However I hope we don't over pay - what cost would Kelly be 1.2m ?, would it be better to get Whitfield for less money and look at another player like Hopper type as well for about the same price, any thoughts.
My worry is in 2 years time Acres , Sinclair , Billings , Steele , Gresham , Carlisle , Membery , Macartin , Webster , Dunstan , Newnes , Ross will all be after contract increases and if we over pay for a couple guys we stand the chance of other teams poaching our future stars once they are hitting their straps.

Chicken Nixon scratching around for a single shred of relevance
That's the problem with social media.
A huge flog like Nixon still gets a platform to spread his flogness.
He should be locked in a wooden crate and let out 3 times a day just to be hit over the head with hockey stick and then locked up again.

Yes but even Tyrian Lannister got let out of his cage. Poor old Chicken had it all and made some dreadful choices.

Carlton 49%, GWS 51%

Which means St Kilda out of the race. Someone asked him about it, pretty much said Kelly accepted our offer and then 8 seconds later seemingly Carlton came in and trumped it. And now Kelly has changed his mind because our training facilities are in the south pole and not the city or some shit

I can't believe I just wasted my energy typing up the thoughts of a moron
This is funny

Nothing wrong with making mistakes or bad choices as long as you learn from your mistakes.
Not him. He just kept digging that hole bigger and bigger and not taking responsibility .
Not as if he could use the" I was young and stupid" excuse either.
He was a mature married man.
He shouldnt be on Twitter. He should be on twatter cos he's a twat.

Looks like Martin might leave the Tigers , they can't afford his cost by the looks , I would expect him to leave , I remember when he last signed his contract he had trouble getting what he wanted from the Tigers - even checked out GWS - so I'm pretty sure he will go to the highest bidder - he could end up at the Roo's or even the Suns in some sort of trade deal involving Ablett / I think Dusty would like the Gold Coast.

If the decision Kelly has to make is between us and a premiership at GWS (which is what Paul Connors has been implying) then From Kelly's POV the pitch becomes interesting for us. Cash is a huge component but not the only component.

I would say to Kelly - premiership players are held in the highest esteem in our game. They are lauded as champions, have great careers post football and remember and cherish the moment for an eternity. Now what's the difference between GWS and StKilda? GWS are more likely to win a premiership. This is true. You will be a champion. You will have the premiership memories to share with your team mates and you will be remembered for a decade or so amongst 15k odd GWS fans in Western Sydney. If you win one at StKilda, a team who's battled for a century, with lifelong supporters who's pain and passion run deep in their veins. You will be a living legend for the rest of your days. The harder path is the more rewarding.

What's your pitch? Why outside of cash is he coming?
Why would any player want to come to stkilda if they want to win a flag?

Also, being the no life loser that I am, I have arranged 2 weeks annual leave for the trade period (don't mock me, you're only jelly)

So I volunteer my services to give running updates and do the daily summaries unless someone else wants to do them

Look Kegsy.

The Draft period comes after the Trade period. Right? AFTER!

So by the time it comes around we will already have Josh Kelly. After all:

We may well have a few picks left which we can use to draft some kids. But we'll have Josh Kelly so is anyone really gonna care much about them?

Yes take the 2 weeks.

But spend them following Joshy around, studying his every move and reporting back to your good mates here every 30 minutes or so
