West Coast's midfield is as slow as a wet week. Priddis & Mitchell together didn't work. They'll be looking to add an extra inside mid to cover one of them & prob a quicker mid to adjust the balance. Gaff being outside, I just can't see them wanting to move him on. They'll more likely look to move on that tatted up bloke with the shit haircut - Masten.

I think Petracca is going to start peaking soon, showed glimpses last year. Wouldn't be the worst trade in the world if we got him
No thanks I've invested way too much hatred into that tongue poking way over the top goal celebrating to change my outlook now.

Has this year set a new record for most amount of media dart throwing? Fyfe gone re-signs, Martin gone, re-signs, Kelly gone, Re-signs, Hinkley gone, re-signs.. and not just one or two but everyone thinking they have the inside scoop. I'm actually losing it.
I dont and I thoroughly recommend everyone else to treat the media like all other social media gossip, because that what most of it is, instead of rising up and becoming a trusted source of news they descended into the cesspool and opened their hearts wide.

Hypothetical trade (VERY VERY HYPOTHETICAL)
St kilda- Give up 7,8
Melbourne- Petracca
Adelaide- Lever and 35

St kilda- Get Petracca, 35
Melbourne- Lever
Adelaide -7,8
would be better going for stringer.

As talented as Petracca with the same dickhead tendencies, but much cheaper

I would consider this with a bit of something else back at the end for us. Didn't someone on here mention going after somebody we should have picked up in the first place?

Still think pick 8 for Stringer is a good bet. He got the kick up the ass he probably needed by being put on the trade table. He admitted himself there were things he could have done better:
“I’d be lying if I sat here and said I’d done everything right. I had a difficult year this year, we will see what happens but I’m confident I can get back to playing some good footy."

“I don’t know the details on why, I haven’t spoken to Bevo. There’s a whole lots of things I could have done better. Training, games, a whole life sort of thing for me."
We've seen how good he can be when he's on, I don't think he has peaked and I don't think the last season shows him at his best.

Stringer vs pick 8 in the draft, who could be a spud or could be good. Stringer is good, and he's young.

True - but it can end up being another Andrew Lovett outcome. (not same circumstances I know).
It depends on where you see your club's culture. Is it strong enough like Hawthorn's which could handle the Dayle Garlett situation? Or the Swans with Michael Talia? While neither of those players worked out there wasn't any detrimental effect on the playing list.

As an outsider I don't know St Kilda's culture - only the club knows if it is strong enough to handle a potentially difficult customer like Stringer. I know we don't - Bucks is too preoccupied learning how to coach to be distracted with X-factor personalities like Stringer.

It's interesting Stringer has identified Essendon and Geelong. Both have strong coaches and in Geelong's case a club culture that can handle him
You're putting Essendon in the same sentence as Geelong with club culture???

The same Essendon whose club leaders, well, you know...

gaff average .4 goals a game. NDS averaged .5. Not much difference.
the North period dilutes that.. Dal kickd 16 goals in 3 seasons with them.. in his last 6 years with us Dal kicked 80 goals ... in 7 years Gaff has played he has 55..
only once in Gaff's career has he kicked over 10 goals for a season dal did that 8 times ...

Have any of these hypothetical trades got substance, or are we just Masten baiting.
lord help me if we pick up Masten ... i will cop so much from all the eagles supporters here ... i reckon most eagles supporters would be willing to give him to us for free on the profido we play him everytime we play the eagles ... heck most of them will even hand deliver him to us

Dal was an awesome and underrated player.

Now you can bend the numbers anyway you want to fit your narrative.
Maybe dal kicked a few more snags.
Not many more but ok.

Bottom line gaff haters is this:
Saints major weakness right now is run/spreading from packs.
You can name all gaffs weaknesses all day long but his strength is in his running and finding space and linking up play.
Its what we need.
Gaff does it to an AA standard.

Was just reading an article on Jake Stringer having had a meeting with Dildoro over coffee, and I’m guessing he will probably meet with us as well, but I had to laugh when Dildoro was quoted as saying ““We obviously feel we’re a destination club now for many AFL players looking for a new home.” Apart from BJ (who was a free agent), they have not attracted a single player of any note in the past 20 years. Gee that man gives me a serious case of the irrites – the most delusional list manager in all of football.
