Siera was fighting sharks before it was fashionable.

Also, he provided one of our few father-son successes. David Sierakowski played in our 1997 GF side and was a handy key position player but a bit undersized. Was traded to West Coast later in his career. David was definitely considered a Sandgroper.[/QUOTE

Aha. I know the true of Siera's shark attack.

The white Pointer was moving in for the kill, when he suddenly realized Brian was a Solicitor, so he bit the board instead. He did not fancy the taste of a solicitor.

Police joke.

Extremely good system to have come out of and it's good that he's coached his own team, and also coached their forward line for 4 years (including their premiership year) and now backline for two years.
Went to my school, so must be a top fella. Seriously though, sounds like a very good get.

What's the WA reference?

It's ******* hard to keep up on here.
Most of this mail is coming from Gavinmitchell11, who I started to take notice of during the year as he seemed to have very good mail on team selections.

He's hearing that there is a very good chance we'll be involved in a big trade with Gold Coast, involving picks and maybe one or more who play for either or both clubs and he hinted that one from GC may be from WA originally and that if it came off, he'd be very happy with the outcome.

Lots and lots to play out of course, with them not having even appointed anyone to coach them yet, which could change everything.

Possible that this is also what Damo was referring to, saying we won't have 7 and 8 and have something big in the planning.

I'd be trying to get the development coaches off Adelaide. They seem to turn every player into quality players without having high end talent.
Sydney have done the same but have made more Grand finals.

I agree though I want what ever Sydney and Adelaide are doing as it's working

Savage and Lonie sign
Rebounding defender Shane Savage and small forward Jack Lonie are the latest Saints to lock in new deals with the club.

Lonie inked a one-year deal this week, while Savage signed a two-year contract that will see him in red, white and black until at least the end of the 2019 season.

Cheers!

Sounds like it's going to be an interesting trade week.

War ships aren't ever built in a day, and you never see them built with shiny chandeliers to catch the eye either, now do you!.... NO.

With that said; I don't reckon we're trying to build a Ferrari... I get the feeling we're attempting to build a tank; A heavy armoured fighting vehicle designed for front-line combat, with heavy firepower, strong armour and one that has solid tracks to provide good battlefield manoeuvrability. We don't suit fast... we want to be brutal like the mighty Voss led Brisbane. Yep, that sure sounds like us, with the likes of bustling Billy, Steele, Ross, Steven, Stevens, Dunstan, Newnes, Greshman, Bruce, Membrey, Carlisle, Robbo, Webster, Sinclair, 2016 version of Mav Weller.... And then there's the likes of Goddard - he is a solid character, one that believes in professionalism and persistence. The later, I believe, for him will definitely pay. Then we have Battle (Ha-ha.... but just in as far as building tanks goes!) I honestly reckon he'll turn out a bit like Jason Heatley did for us all those years ago - marking the ball off fast leads and then being a dead-eye-dick in front of goal.... and then there's my PERSONAL FAVOURITE, Blake Acres - if he can consistently repeat this effort of Round 20 v West Coast at Etihad Stadium: 30 disposals, 411 metres gained, 22 uncontested possessions (sounds more than a tad outside-ish to me) with nine score involvements, six tackles, six inside 50s and a goal.... oh my blardy god... he might well turn out to be the CHANDALEIR player, we on here, have not just sifted through opposition team lists for, but have traded away our draft picks, so as to then, stack a world of pressure by pinning all our hopes on him!! Blardy hell, LIGHT BULB MOMENT. If Blake can play like that every week alongside the likes of Jack Billings.... well.... And with Paddy whack at the wheel - WITH heavy metal for front and rear guard protection... Shiite...

CUE THE MUSIC... can someone please upload the U2 song.... because I reckon "the saints are coming!"

I know he had a few problems but the dogs didn't rate him enough to retain him when they didn't have any key backs.

I haven't got any information about what he has been doing in Sydney but he hasn't covered himself in glory on or off the field, so it's a no.

He got the arse for leaking team secrets to the Crows through his brother because he wasn't selected for finals.

Shaun Burgoyne said Jack Martin is the most talented indigenous footballer he has ever seen.

Food for thought..

When he was a kid there were plenty saying he was the most talented player ever out of WA. I have watched him ever since and he's been a bit of a disappointment. He's not bad, just not lived up to the hype.

Ripping post.

His grimaces after a hard effort unfortunately remind me of lindsay thomas.

But his skills do look super smooth!

Lindsay Thomas was an underrated player. If he was a Saint we would have loved him, but seriously nothing like Thomas, LT was a seagull small forward with a propensity to fake frees, Aaron is an outside mid who is like Jack Steven mixed with Brett Peake. He is very quick off one step like JS and has that rangy run and delivery with his head up like Peaky. He goes pretty well and if he was in victoria he'd be a star.

Yeah I've been saying that all year, we aren't the flashiest lot...we don't even look that great when you put a list up against us, but we play with grunt and drive. I have us more like Sydney where effort wins over flash more often than not.
