Two of the first three plus Naish seems a good thing to me. Big bodies, athletes, and play with intensity... and Naish.

A lot of talk being the deal for Gibbs will be as follows;
2017 first round pick, 2018 first round pick and a swap of second round picks.

Surely not.

Well that’s pick 16, Adelaide think next years will be pick 18, and Carlton’s second next year will be bottom 6 so say 22+Compo and Adelaide think theirs will be pick 36+compo

Let me do the maths

1067 + 985 + 502 max

For

Gibbs + 845 max

Points = 1709 approx Pick 6

Of course if things don’t go so well for Adelaide and if Carlton’s fortunes improve, this could be a monumental **** up.

Nobody would leave our club to "go home", look at Rance and Edwards for examples.
Agree. The club has established a culture that is the envy of every other club in the competition. They support the players like no other so a player would be leaving great mates if they left.

It doesn't guarantee that no player will leave but the club can't do any more to hold on to the players.

Isn't all that much given it is pick 16 and likely another around 16 next year whilst upgrading their second significantly.

Id say that just means he loves money more than anythen else in the world and thought i want some of this ralph carr business.
He will hold us to ransom next contract
If you look back over Dustys last 3 contracts, we haven’t ultimately been held for ransom in any of them. The GWS contract was sub 500k for two years, the next around 600k for two years, and although his new one is massive, it is less than Fyfe, Buddy and possibly a couple others including Tom Boyd.

If Bolton starts this behaviour at the end of his draft contract he will have a black mark against his name and clubs won’t want him, and we will hold our ground. There isn’t much he could do in the next year that would make his next contract more than 250-300k a year, and it’ll more likely be less.

I personally can't see McIntosh and Menadue vying for the same spot. Their build is completely different and I don't see them playing the same role. Both quick (Menadue) alot more. Defensively I rate McIntosh as you've stated but can't see why and when Menadue would come in for McIntosh unless he's really stinking it up each week.

Menadue is a great depth player but where does he really fit in our side?
I think menadue is probably going to be that HBF/wing/HF role. In time he’ll put on more size but his speed and kicking are his strengths. We will want the ball in his hands like we do Bachar I reckon
