The dickhead on sen cracked a boner saying they were giving two firsts for Gibbs..... :drunk:
SOSS is such a scumbag. He thinks being all high and mighty, waiting until the last minute to get marginally more value will work in his favour. Glad they haven't got anything done yet and hope they miss one of Lang/Kennedy because it will be squarely his fault.

Huh? Why salty at SOS? He's just doing his job and from l've seen, he nailed that trade. Called their bluff and looks to be paying well above. If it was Blair, we'd be celebrating a job well done. Its all negotiation and to me, it takes balls to play the long game.

Watching the Real Deal;
Nixon believes if any deal will get done for Schache will be a last minute deal to us, but likely to stay at the Lions.
Tony Sheehan also said that Schache’s manager is demanding a $380k per year deal for him.
Nixon doesn’t believe he is worth it.

$380k is peanuts nowadays.

Anyone know what the Gibbs deal is looks like? Honestly pick 16 and a 3rd rounder gets it done and if SOSS doesn't like it he can go and get thumbed by his hot wife. Hope Adelaide hold firm and make him squirm this time
Don't understand why you care?

Agree. 380 is **** all considering what he could be. His reputation and value has dropped so much that its almost as if he's been hit by a car.
Something is not being said on this.......

Where does he actually fit in the team? I don't think he does.

And why would you want to recruit lazy buggers anyway?

No thanks.
FUNNILY enough - and I'll clarify that I would never Jack Watts - but for all his disappointments, let-downs, lack of productivity and gentleness, the bloke has achieved considerable more in his lusterless, uninspiring and faltering career than a certain Ben Griffiths. He who still has certain sections of the Tigers faithful (particularly on here) clamouring for more of the same and thinking he'll remarkably begin tearing the competition apart.
I'd take ol' 'kilo'Watts over Big Ben any day of the week.

But he's probably going to average 10 possessions and 0.8 goals per game or something.

Is that worth 380k?

Lennon could do more than that for 150k and we'd have 200k+ spare for something else.

But I accept you do need to pay on potential to a degree.

On the other hand, this could be a million dollars down the drain... so money is a sticking point.

Watts was a number 1 pick, Griffs was a second rounder, I would be worried if he hadn't shown more promise.

Tippett is getting 800k for those stats. Even as a gamble/potential... its peanuts.

It actually isn't peanuts for a bloke who has achieved nothing. It could mean the difference between retaining Bolton/Graham or losing them.

Silvani’s Method is win/lose, short termism. This is the realm of the most crap of all negotiators.

This is NOT how good clubs & negotiators operate and business people ( think Hawyjorn, Geelong ect).
After the Yarran trade I wouldn’t be surprised if Richmond had a never again deal with Silvani policy.
It doesn’t take balls, it takes insecurity to act this way IMO.

This remonstrates my thoughts exactly. If he didnt give his GWS list manager mates back ally massages (are they any good Wally Matera ?) he would be nothing. Everyone says he does a great job, haven't seen him get anyone from a real club.
