All players in the 20-22 age bracket we may look at:

Harry Dear
Sam Weideman

Jeremy Finlayson
Michael Apeness
Billy Frampton
Dougal Howard
Harry Dear is struggling in the SANFL http://www.aflplayerratings.com.au/Ratings/Player/119356/Harry-DEAR
Will probably be delisted.
Weideman looks like a bust and can't get a game when Hogan is out
Finalyson - Like the look of him, but he is out with a knee. One to keep an eye out for next season.
Apeness has been too injury prone and didn't impact in the games he played last season.
Frampton - Hasn't played a senior game. Would prefer a forward / ruck
Howard - Another that has had injuries and not developed
Does seem to highlight that it is rare to get a quality big man outside of top 30 players.

Would prefer to go with an A of solid B grader instead of gambling on fringe players that have not shown much. That will depend on re-signing Dusty first before we know how much salary cap is remaining.

Like the idea of Tom
Nicholls as a delisted free agent. Need ruck support when we lose Maric, and Hampson retires. Definitely do not want to go into next season with Soldo as our back up. Is still 2 years away from being able to play AFL consistently. Just has no game awareness. Taps regularly to nobody, and blatantly gets in the way.

Weideman is a 2nd year kid whose built like a twig. Needs a lot more time.

Wheres the Mitch McGovern option?

Hes out of contract at the monent at the end of the season. Surely we could throw something their way?
This....
just been catching up on the last 10 pages and constantly thinking 'What about McGovern?'

Yet to sign a contract, can clunk a mark...... would love to be running out onto the G every second week!

Keen.

We have 2 3rd Rd picks.
We'll need both to pay for Naish, and probably more. Unless you want our first pick next year to be pushed back into the 30s.

Has Apeness done anything at all,?
Not a lot, has missed most of two years with knee injuries. Has shown some talent and would come very cheap though.

Weideman isn't a dud.
Yeah, he is. Bookmark it.

Melbourne could win the flag this year if only they'd drafted Charlie Curnow instead. #lolMelb

I think we actually need to do both, providing the above option doesn't cost too much. I previously mentioned Taberner from Freo, and while I'll admit that this list along with Taberner isn't the answer, it does create some depth in our weakest area. That way if Jack and/or A/B grader goes down, we have someone to step in.

Sam Reid set to re-sign with Sydney.

Kurt Tippett is going to be a Tiger in 2018...I can feel it.
Don't even hate it. Tippett has reached that "so overrated he's underrated" stage. At the right price (**** all), he's actually exactly what we're crying out for. Just doesn't fit into Sydney's structure whatsoever.
