Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
I never said they would I just said we would most likely have 2 million spare as we haven't paid 100% of our salary cap for the last 3 years and we would target midfielders just mentioned 2 that could be a chance of coming and then asked what other midfielders are OOC
Yes, but they automatically go onto your senior list. Can you still trade for players on rookie lists?

You are not getting Martin for a late first....he'd be worth as much as Josh Kelly!
He's not costing us anything.
It will involve an AFL compensation pick.

Kelly to North + 2017 or 2018 2nd round pick - 1st round picks for 2017 & 2018 to GWS.
Martin to North - AFL compensation pick (12-16) to Richmond.
I'm afraid we will have to leave the table here.
We will be tapped out.
If we get say pick 12 for Martin I will be pissed, but then we can probably offer a Rockliff a million over 5 - 6 years and get in a gun to replace him ( not as good but still).
How would you get pick 12 for Martin & then bring in Rockliff?
If I was a rival club chasing Rockliff I believe $4mil over 5 years would get it done. But, I do not know if Rockliff will be seriously interested in leaving Brisbane, nor do I believe Brisbane would be keen on losing Rockliff, even if the compo pick is pick 2.Sounds bad but in a way, if we aren't going to go anywhere in finals it might be a good advantage to play the kids and see which of them will make it.

They clearly can't match the absurd deal North will need to offerHe will stay at Richmond anyway. Richmond would match whatever you offer Martin anyway. It helps Richmond- forces North to pay market value (two firsts minimum)
How about Rockliff to Crows pick 2 compo to Brisbane. Adelaide then trade Jenkins to you for pick 19. Pick 19 onto Blues for Gibbs. If I was a rival club chasing Rockliff I believe $4mil over 5 years would get it done. No the second rounder is going to North, not leaving themAre you saying you will trade 2018 R1 and R2? Not allowed to do it.

NaahNo the second rounder is going to North, not leaving them
Kelly + 2nd rounder (from GWS) for
2017 + 18 1st round picks (from North)
It'll be 5-10.Naah
We'll get two first rounders nothing back. We trade smart. Plenty of other clubs interested. I think North's 2017 first rounder will be 9-11 and next years on probability similar. Unless they hold something I've missed? Pick 1 or 2 might do it with a future second.
