While Taylor has been pretty good this year, he was pathetic last year. And I haven't seen him compared to Bontempelli once since the rising star season. Not once.

Dusty has 5-6 years of footy left in him and he is probably at his peak atm.

He will never be a Cyril Rioli or an Eddie Betts. Dont think he has the capability to be a genuine mid either. Not sure his ceiling is all that high myself.

I'd suggest swap Ablett (and a pick in the 50's) for Motlop.
I understand Geelong loses in this trade but if Ablett takes a reduced pay packet (likely to play 15 odd games) it will free up further room in their cap.

Wouldn't mind giving him a crack at Hawthorn.

Motlop is a free agent not sure why people keep putting him in trades.

And we wouldnt trade him for ablett anyway unless we were getting a much better pick than 50 back.

Geelong will only take ablett if its a cheap trade or it won't happen.

What is this sentiment that you refer to? It would not be universally positive sentiment about him coming back.. him coming back will cause enough issues that I doubt we should be just doing a losing trade
