Brisbane trade pick 1 to North for pick 4 and Preuss.

Brisbane get a very promising ruck (who's also a local) to take over from Stefan Martin. They also get one of Dow/Cerra/LDU.

North get Rayner, and also ease a bit of the logjam in their rucks.

GWS should look at Castagna instead of Thomas. Twice the player Thomas ever was plus George has proven he can be vital in a flag winning team.

Castagna has played 2 seasons averaging 11 positions a game and less than a goal a game.Thomas 11 seasons 11 positions a game averaging 1.5 goals per game. Thomas 325 career goals Castagna 28 career goals. long long way to go George but good luck.

No chance in my opinion. Ranyer not far enough in front of the other 3 top picks to give Preuss away for nothing. which it would be in that scenario.

Not sure Gold Coast need a sidebottom type, but the value is probably right, possibly a late pick going back gc's way, but it's unlikely they'd use it...

But so are bris. I doubt they would do your proposed trade because i dont think the top 4 is set anymore. Its more of a top 6-7 atm i think

Conole didn't mention Stephenson as a pick 1 chance when interviewed today Rayner LDU and Brayshaw are apparently all chances though

I thought the same till cotter mentioned an intrest in stephenson that i didn't believe at the time. It seems he was right regarding the intrest and given his recent performaces i can see it potentially happening.

Personally i think they are much more likely to take dow with #1. If they somehow got pick #2 in rocky compo i would put it at 99.9% that they choose stephenson.

That percentage is clearly just my opinion.

I think he is fantastic aswell. So many upsides with some slight risk at such a high pick. Him and coffield are the ones im most excited about.

Would be a very good pick for the lions even if you chose him over dow.

I love the draft period its always exciting. I wont be surprised if every phantom drafter is wrong this year. First 20 picks are going to be fun to watch i think

Castagna was able to play average in a system where the pressure load was shared, he'll get found out in a big way if he goes anywhere else. Anyway; the Puopolo to GWS connection has at least been floated in multiple avenues, Castagna to GWS is a fantasy creation by BigFooty.

Poppy kicked 5 goals in his last 2 games after coming back from injury. Averages 6 tackles a game. Thomas spent most of his time injured or suspended or playing in the 2s.

And Im sure he would get a higher pick than 40.
