2017 trade hypothetical thread

It's called data mate. Contemporary data. A recent trade for a gun young player who has shown plenty.

Your rebuttal isn't based on anything.
Sounds more like selective data.

Treloar and 28 for 2 top 10's is a better comparison. If you're paying him a mill per year you must rate him as highly.

Righto, we will keep 22, pick up 28 & Kelly and give GWS pick ~4 & 8-10 next season.

I can live with that.

If we are in "aggressive reset" mode then we would be likely to heavily invest in FTA next year anyway.

Billings and McCartin to Blues for Jaksch and 2018 2nd round pick.

Jaksch is useless, and wouldn't be worth a lot, if he can't get a gig in a Blues side in need of some KPP, he's not worth McCartin! Billings is worth more too.

Richmond targets (hopefully)

Matthew Kennedy (GWS)
Josh Schache (Brisbane)
Harry Dear (Adelaide)
Rory Lobb (GWS)
Jack Gunston (Hawthorn)
Nat Fyfe (Fremantle)
Sam Reid (Sydney)
Tom Lamb (WCE)
Fraser McInnes (WCE)
Sam Durdin (NM)
Etc

Lobb is zero chance, scrap that straight away. If Sam Reid goes, would be to the Pies. All the others would require high picks, not sure why you would bother.

You currently do not have the currency to land Schache, unless Daniel Rioli is part of the deal coming back to Brisbane.

What would Brisbane want for Schache?

A LOT.

A first rounder with it being a top 5 pick is an absolute minimum and even that is probably not enough.

Richmond have 2 first rounders this year

None are near the top 5, Unless you are bundling them together wth another team to get a top 5 pick Brisbane won't be talking. Will take a top 5 pick minimum or a very highly regarded youngster + your first. That would be an absolute minimum. He was taken #1, he hasn't really reduced his value that much, started his career well, therefore he's rated in the 1-5 range, and that is conservative.

You're the second person to say that Atley can't kick, not sure why.

Good disposal and definitely better than Zak's. Running at 84% efficiency this year.

Yet he's prone to turning it over and doing silly things. Honestly would rather quite a few players on your list rather than him...then again I feel Melbourne have a lot more assets.

We are a big show for Sam Reid, we are a more attractive proposition than the pies at the moment.

Mathew Kennedy = early to mid second rounder

Josh Shache = two first rounders

Harry Dear = Don't want him.

Rory Lobb = a first rounder + future second.

Gunston = late first rounder

Fyfe = 2 first rounders

Reid = FA

Tom Lamb = late second rounder

Sam Durdin = Don't want.

If a player wants out most clubs take unders for them.

If he said he wanted to come and we offered them a first this year and next, they would be well inclined to take it.
