I reckon our pick 3 and 2018 2nd rounder is pretty fair for Kelly...consider what Dangerfield and Beams cost we'd be giving up more for Kelly.

Treloar cost more but that's only because Collingwood were desperate..plus they thought their future 1st would be more like pick 14, not pick 7.

Pick 3 is a super premium pick.

Please tell me it is petracca to saints (where we should have picked him in the first instance). Or jayden hunt would do nicely also!
No word in regards to anything St. Kilda. Petracca is going nowhere, as is Hunt

Carlisle's @ St Kilda - 1
Carlisle's @ Carlton - 0

Surely getting a better coach would be more attractive to Carlisle?
And Bolton/SOS wouldn't turn away a free KPD as good as Carlisle...

Carlton withdrew their 5 year $700k offer after Brisbane stupidly won in the last round of the season handing the blues another centre half back in Weitering. They then offered Carlisle a 3 year deal @500k. St Kilda matched the original offer and the rest is history.

Pick 2 is there's if Kelly wants to come to Carlton.

Yep, doubt many clubs would have an issue paying that pick for him. Whether GWS would accept it on it's own though is another question. What I can't fathom them accepting is overpaying for an injury prone ruckman to then take a lesser pick for him.

Unfortunately for Adelaide, gov is out of contract this year so you guys don't hold any bargaining power, especially considering fremantle don't have a 2nd rounder this year and they won't be trading out a top 10 pick for a 3rd tall.
I'm sorry, but how does fremantle not having a second change anything? It hasn't stopped them from chasing him, and they would know that their third wouldn't even come close, fremantle would be planning on trading first pick for him, probably with something else going back there way.
It's also pretty irrelevant to west coast anyway, if Mitch decides to leave then his choice want be based on who has the right picks for a trade.
Anyway you'd have to be pretty silly to think you trade a pick in the 30's for him.

Just keep digging.

Why dont you actually tell us what you know instead of saying that you know all this big news but can't tell anybody yet.
I've covered quite a bit in their specific player threads. Melbourne have serious interest in Zak Jones, Daniel McStay is another player that they're chasing. There are preliminary interests in a couple of fringe players from other clubs that aren't really worth mentioning yet, as they'll make decisions on them once they find out whether they can get their main objectives.

It would mean Fremantle would have to trade a top 10 pick for him, which they won't do without something significant coming back. Where did you get the idea that we'd trade a 3rd round pick for him?

I didn't, I said fremantle's third won't cut it, and west coast's second which likely be in the 30's or at best late 20's won't cut it either.
He's easily worth a first on his own, uncontracted or not. If fremantle's first pick falls between 7-10, then Adelaide could throw back there future second.

We want to get back into the first round this year, norths first pick would do. They can have any two of vickery, schoenmakers, duryea, willsmore, miles, heatherley, Gibson or brand. Who do they pick?
Youd want to offer 4... but it wont matter...

sum total does not get a Rd1 pick..

Go Catters

Danger and Beams both much older and one a FA, both also leaving for family reasons.

Both firsts is too much but the 2nd not quite enough.

Can't see him going there anyway

Yep. Collingwood should look at bringing Josh Kelly in. GWS can pick 2 of Greenwood, Langdon, Keeffe, Mayne, Blair and Ramsey.

Would also offer this deal to Gold Coast for Tom Lynch.

Vickery and Gibson. Then make both of them retire immediately

As if we'd get McStay, he can't defy his name.
