Wow, big call, glad we gave 2 away for burger years ago he was about that age with stuffed knees.
If you think he wouldn't of made a difference I guess you should win it pretty easy. Kinda hope you do with everyone you've lost over the years your club has done well to be back there.
Just think it's a move that would have seriously helped this year with how close everything is but best of luck

Don't want to start another big debate, but this isn't quite true. port received 9 and 16 as part of a 3 way trade but gave a bunch of other picks back. Hawthorn only gave up pick 9 and an in decline Mark Williams, not exactly the equivalent of 2 first rounders.

While I do agree to an extent, he is not going to get a first rd etc.
A team in the window can't just move on from a player they see as a important price to a premiership unless what is being asked is so far removed for the actual worth.

A fit poppy working hard to lock the ball in the forward 50 would be huge for them. Pick up grade or a part of another trade possibly.

Hawk supporters were told on this site how we over paid for burger, hale etc, wouldn't change a thing even had we only won one
I see your point but I wouldn't put Burgoyne, Gibson, lake and to a lesser extent hale in the same category as poppy. I think they could find similar or better talent to play that role elsewhere. For example I'd rather pay more for Brandon matera to play that role. Not a knock on poppy - got the absolute best out of himself -'but at 30 I'm not sure another club would take him unless he was an absolute bargain.

Yeah understand that but I think you'd understand why I'd write that.

Tigers do.
Nank is a B grader. Doesn't yet have the tank to be A grade.
Maric finishes up at seasons end.
Will have three late 1st round picks once they receive the Dusty compo.[emoji6]

They'll still have those three first rounders and one less third rounder after the Goldstein deal

If only you swapped your picks for franklin and hodge then you might have had success earlier. I guess we'll never know that either

Not really sure what your getting at with that as we were no where near a premiership when we had either of those picks.
Surely you'd think with Gibbs in your team right now you'd be closer in a tight year where any team of 6-8 could win it that you'd be better off.
If your in the window over pay to an extent!
But no mate I hope that your 2 picks help you win one over the next few years

Ahhh Mark Williams in decline is an understatement he only played 4 games at Essendon.

A twitter post from a supposed "insider" claimed that a player that has 3 clubs chasing his signature has indicated that he wants to play at Collingwood. That player is Michael Close from the Brisbane Lions.
Oh yeah, The Trade Whisperer has been long praised for his inside knowledge and successful track record of players' trade and contract situations.

What would people think is stewie crameris trade value

Given the trade values of Vardy, Black, Williams and Kersten last year at absolute best he may get a late third but in reality he is likely to get a junk pick. The landscape for trades has changed since DFA came into the equation and players you could hope would get you a midround second or early third get you nothing.

Not apparently if you are Hawthorn, who have a range of players that their supporters expect to get 1st or 2nd round picks for.

Kyle Langford + 2nd rounder for Todd Goldstein.

Essendon wouldn't be getting rid of Langford, and they wouldn't need to chuck in a 2nd rounder considering Goldstein's form.

What's Libba's worth? Out of favour, not the player he was.

Goldstein + something for Libba?

Probably worth more to the Dogs than on the trade table. Early 2nd or late first would be the sort of area I'd be prepared to offer though.
