If Adelaide do that, we will burn down Rundle Mall. That's ****ing terrible.

10 is FAR too much for Gibbs.

16 and a third is more than fair for two good years of Bryce Gibbs.

Carlton lose their best midfielder. Adelaide keep their 1st rd pick and Gibbs effectively replaces Lever.
The fact of the matter is, unlike Lever, Gibbs is contracted and the Crows will have to pay overs if they genuinely want him. Who knows if they do or don't.
Gibbs is 29 and the fourth or fifth best player at a 16th ranked club. And, at best, their third best midfielder.

Lever is AA squad 22 year old, and ranked by Champion Data as the best young tall defender in the game.

Lever is worth MILES more than Gibbs.

Closer deal would be:
MFC give up 10 & 27 for Lever
AFC give up 16 for Gibbs
CFC give up 16 & 2018 2nd for Kennedy and Smith
GWS send 2018 2nd back to Carlton
Adelaide would want a bit of a bump. Let's call it a pick swap in 2018.

Essendon 18 and 19
Brisbane 11 and 2018 second rounder

Close. Let me try ...

Melbourne
Out: Pick 10, Pick 27 and 2018 Second Round Pick
In: Lever, 2018 third round pick

Adelaide
Out: Lever, Cameron, pick 16, pick 35, pick 51, 2018 third round pick
In: Pick 10, Pick 12, pick 38, 2018 Second Round Pick and Gibbs

Carlton
Out: Gibbs, pick 38,
In: Pick 16, Pick 27, pick 51

Brisbane
Out: Pick 12
In: Cameron, pick 35
This makes my head hurt... I like it!

i think he's our second best but if he is behind only Cripps (who I would easily prefer over anybody on your list) and Murphy (who has a résumé equal if not better then anyone In your midfield) then you're really not proving much.
Yes he is worth more and you'll rightfully get more but the difference is you have to trade we don't

Pick 16 + Jack Watts to Adelaide, with Melbourne paying the bulk of his salary for Jake Lever
Adelaide trade Pick 16 + Josh Jenkins to Carlton for Bryce Gibbs.

You'd be doing well to get a Jenkins for Gibbs straight swap let alone Adelaide throwing in a first as well. Doubt the Crows would agree to losing one of their key talls for that price.

Fair enough, i didnt realise Jenkins was rated that highly. I dont particularly want JJ i was just thinking of a way the Lever, Watts & Gibbs thing could all work together.. Mostly Melbourne want to get rid of Watts and would be prepared to pay his salary which might be appealing to Adelaide, and Watts is a slight upgrade on Jenkins.

Sorry but how on goodness earth is Watts an upgrade on Jenkins? Watts hasn't had 1 season like Jenkins had last year. I'm not a massive fan of Jenkins and wouldn't want my club chasing him but he'd be worth a bit as a 2nd tall.

Adelaide will just take the two firsts from Melbourne (giving the Dees back a 2nd) and be done with it. Gives them two firsts and Melbourne have an extra 2nd rounder.

Gibbs for pick 17 is more than fair. No real need to complicate that one. Will be done after the Lever deal if Adelaide even want Gibbs and I'm not sure they even do- it's more a "we will see". They won't want a repeat of last year's prices.

Lever plays loose in defence, if your club actually rated him you would of offered him more to start with instead of trying to re-sign him cheap.

Gibbs is contracted and blues hold the keys to a trade, Crows don't have any power with the Lever Trade.

Jenkins is much better than Watts. Adelaide probably wouldn't let go of him unless it was something very, very good.
Pick 16 & 34 will get the job done for Gibbs

No power maybe, but Lever is worth twice what Gibbs is.
