I would take Trengrove from Port, and delist, retire, Griffen, Clarke, and play him forward/ruck, at worst
he us backup for sandi, Darcy.
Can Sandi play a large chunk of footy next year anyway? Trengrove is at the right age bracket, has kicked
more goals than all our ruckmen, and is on the outer with Port.
His price has certainly dropped, would be a short term fix until others are ready.
Apparently Bulldogs bound.
Oh ok. Watched him and Dixon tear apart WC at Subi a few weeks ago. Was impressed considering WCs tall backline. But if (i) he's already on the path back to Melbourne, and (ii) wanting big FA$, then not going to happen.

Would you do his trade???? Sheridan&40&58 for 33&37 GCS

= 5, 33, 37, 55,74 then Croz & 33 to Richmd for 16 & 50 then have 5;16;37;50;55 74
I think both Richmond and GCS would be interested in both players at that trade value

I can't see why Richmond would have any need to drop 17 places in the draft and also give up pick 50 for a player in Crozier who plays mostly as a forward - when they have an abundance of small forwards, with Bolton and Stengle also showing good form in their first VFL seasons.

Not sure about Richmond , they got lots of small forward who I rate better than croz in term of future development up trend . ( Shai, castagna, butler ,rioli ). GCS will only give up pick 37 . They will use pick 33 on their academy player crossley.

I can't see how we have a chance at Stringer - 0% IMO.

He's a bit flakey too. Not sure if that is just environmental but it would worry me a little.

Stringer would just be another Cam/Kersten; no thanks.
At his best is he quite a bit better than either of those two on output so far.

My issues (aside from the family and potential attitude) is that he is too inconsistent. Has played a couple of great seasons, an ordinary one and an injured one.

Crozier is more than a forward ....has had succesful games in back pocket, half back, and wing. It is his versatility that makes him a very good proposition to a club like Richmond, Melbourne and Western Bulldogs. I hope he resigns with us but if not....?
points wise it rates Crozier at pick 24-25 and Sheriden at 38-39.

Don't mind the Sherro one (not sure GC agree) but much rather keep Croz.

Do agree that there is probably a Melbourne club or two that would be interested. I would think Melbourne over Richmond. Possibly Hawks too.

But because they have Mayne they won't be able to afford him.

Mayne to the doggies and Stringer to collingwood would be good for the doggies. Mayne a better fit with the doggies imop and would be good. Stringer, good offensively not as good defensively, so not sure why Collingwood would target him.

He's better than them already and I think he'll get better. Hearing that he had fitness and application issues tells me that he'll definitely get better if he can fix those issues. That's a scary thought!

Kerstin aint getting better. McCarthy might.

I'd take him too, but he'd cost #5 at a minimum for us, which I can't see happening.

I don't disagree with this by the way, but have a slightly different perspective.

We have a flawed forward line. It is unbalanced, lacks experience especially together, and has been poorly coached imo. In addition our larger game plan and structure is a bit of a mess.

Kersten may not improve, but he could still contribute more as the components around him come together.

Looking more and more likely our trade period is going to be a dud
Depends what you mean I guess. The only player I would consider our pick 5 for would be Hogan certainly not McGovern and now we no longer have that argument.

Now we can use pick 5 on the best KPF in the land or worst case a bloody good midfielder.

I think we desperately need another small forward and it sounds like we are getting one for what should be little cost. Yeah I don't like the name much but he can play.

I am pretty happy to go to the draft with the picks we have plus what we received for Balic.

What I don't want us to do is trade a future pick again because we are going to need them next year.
