Looking more and more likely our trade period is going to be a dud
Not really. Keeping pick 5 is an awesome thing, like freoextra said. In Matera and we're a chance with Wilson. We don't know whats happening with our uncontracted players either. Sounds pretty good to me, not every trade period will go like last years did, in fact it rarely does.

Even though the club has said it would be aggressive this trade period I don't think that's going to happen. I think this year will be fairly quiet outside the obvious trades not just for us but for everyone. We're not budging off Pick 5 at all and we don't have any easy / cheap targets this year outside of Matera (Who I really don't want).

Hogan, Wilson, Lobb, Martin - Laters.

I think next year we will have a bigger trade period. We have good targets in the Matera bracket like Aliir Aliir who we can get.

Would be cheap on their performances today. Not alone of course.

I suppose Lobb did take a couple of great marks. Did **** all else though. Barely sighted Wilson.
I think both had some issue back in WA to deal with that can easily affected their performance tonight. B.hill had some pretty ordinary performance last year also before his discussion with Ross .

I can't see us getting Aliir because how do we guarantee him best 22? I don't see him leaving Sydney reserves to come to ours. Don't think he is better than Hammer or Pearce (or Johnno in the short term) and I am positive we won't displace Logue from the team having spent pick 8 on him.

Happy to have him if he comes on the cheap knowing that he is fighting for spots though. Has talent.

That may be true I suppose. Still saw nothing that made me think "pick 5" between them - tbf I haven't thought that about them before tonight. Don't see any other way of getting them so I assume we won't.

I am not giving up pick 5 for those two for a shit performance like that ,ask GWS to keep them until their contract expired if they play hardball .

What are people's thoughts on Ben Griffiths? Personally I think he has talen but he cant seem to produce it on a consistent basis at Richmond. Would he be someone that Freo may look at to bolster thier options in attack?

I know what I have said is a bit left-field but as I said I rate him but his time at Richmond could be coming to an end.

He's pretty average right now. If I'm being honest he would be good for pressuring selection and as depth. If we got him this year I would not put him straight into the B22 next year for Round 1 until he finds his 14'/15' playing which a fresh start could easily do. He stood out early during Gold Coasts' inaugural years among others but really failed to mature into a leader.

As in perennially concussed Ben Griffiths? He would be touch and go without that issue. With it a MASSIVE no thank you.

I like him because he should be cheap, kicks goals and is from WA. We also have bugger all small forwards because we constantly play rookie list midfielders there.

Massive pass if the price gets beyond 3rd rounder and/or 450k though.
