I rather start with a fourth rd negotiation before moving up to 3rd round .
Giving up 3rd straight up limited your chance of package up pick 5 + pick 40 to other possibility . All this is just scenario until the official list of delist and retirement come up Allir Allir is a possibility target but not a must .
I am amazed that people are not rating Aliir. They must have watched different games to me last year. Maybe it's the natural aversion people have to commentator wank, which was admittedly over the top, but if you ignore that he looked very very good last year for a 22 year old KPD. This year was a down year (if you can even extrapolate any conclusions out of 3 games or whatever it was) after missing the pre-season but he'd be a great get imo
I respect people's opinion but I don't really rate him and I've seen him last year and quite a bit this year. He is ok and was much better last year.
He does have that David Mundy or Chris Gayle laconic feel about him, so maybe I'm judging him harshly.
He is quite athletic and I wouldn't be averse to him coming across as a late pick or DFA. Pick 40; no thanks way too early for Aliir, especially after his form in 2017.
I think Aliir and APearce are comparable and with that said - based on what I've seen from both of them at AFL level I would have Aliir as the better player right now. They don't have a big block of games individually (16 plays 21) although Aliir has him well covered in all the key stats as a defender.
Delusional if you think he's average + isn't worth a best case scenario 3rd Rounder / worst case future 2nd rounder.
Nah it's more than that. He has a business interest which requires him to remain in WA. If it was a choice between moving and retiring he would choose to retire.
It's because having a baby with an AFL player is a solo job. He sleeps, recovers, trains, recovers, plays, recovers, says hi to the wife, and then goes to sleep.

Tayl0r - Yep you are spot on. Andrew had two daughters during his career. As you said and with the case of Andrew it was: trains, recovers, plays, recovers, trains, plays etc etc etc.
Then there is the family time in between the downtime and training/game day.
Family time (including speaking to me his number one cousin) was and still is important to Andrew.

Played 10 games and the best players three times. He is on the bench for the GF.
I've seen him three times and he has been ok. Played some time in the ruck and usual half back. Could have got more involved at times but did take some good intercept marks.
Look he is ok and I wouldn't oppose him on the list but he would be depth in my opinion and comparable to Sam Collins. In saying that Aliir's games with Sydney AFL side he showed much more than Collins has for Freo AFL side. So maybe Collins out and Aliir in.
Again just my opinion but I'm a huge fan of Alex Pearce. He will take a while to come back after his leg issues but worth the wait. I get the impression the coaching staff are also big fans. Watching him play he has those go go gadget arms to spoil at just the right time.
