Gav nothing would please me more than that backline come Rnd1..... but I'm struggling to see both Spurr and Johnson lining up for Peel in round 1.

I'm hoping some of the older blokes Spurr, Johnson and Ballas have all seen how our experienced players have taken on a more mentoring role at Peel and helped our younger kids grow. Hoping they understand it's there turn this year.

Makes for a great sustainable model - players in their final years taking on a development role at Peel with our young players, and those in the main team then being 23-29ish

I wouldn't have thought a second rounder for Brad Hill would've got it done last season either, but it did. As i've said previously, similar (same) circumstances; 24 year old contracted WA boy wants to return home for family reasons and is in the best 22 of a top four club.
And maybe add that only one of the WA clubs are realistically going to be the destination. No bidding war here.

As has been said before, after nearly 2 years out injured, A Pearce will not play too many AFL games next year.
That is realistic, and therefore totally unwelcome.

But we do have MJ (has he signed) and possibly Collins. Plus I prefer Cox as a swingman. There are some options. I expect that Pearce will play most games that he is fit for though. Just manage him through the wafl initially, perhaps 5 games.

How is Pearce at the moment??

He looks good on Instagram so if he is running now he should be good by next year.

Would you rather Majak or Tabs on your list?
I'll go Taberner. I actually quite like him on our list. Things may result in him being our #1 forward next year, and I think he deserves that chance. Say we draft Brander, he won't be playing AFL surely? Taberner gets a crack.
