Ch 10 went with the caption "Going To The Dogs". They could have gone with "A 2nd Stringer".

Reckon Balic and Crozier combine will get a pick in the early/mid 20's which will get Wilson. I'm not sure how that's done but upgrading the 3rd Rounder to 2nd's each time you trade on the player - with an exchange for later picks maybe.
Does sound like we told him he would be fringe so I don't blame him. It should help a lot in getting us something else we need. Sorry to see him go personally, but that's footy.

Where did pick 22 come from?

Edit: yeah didnt read that properly
We get it back by giving off our 2018 2nd round. GWS already have 23 & 25 so we need to better those two picks really. Pick 55 sweetens it a little and gives them some more pts to play with.

With Matera, Pick 40 is a bit high for mine so we get a future 4th rounder as a sweetener.

If we have Matera, Bennell, Langdon to come into the side it makes sense to seek value from Crozier.

Shame as I think he was building, but just never broke out as such.
Apart from breaking out in a cold sweat every time he lined up for a set shot

1. Fremantle (40, 2018 2nd round) > GCS (Matera, 22, 2018 4th round)
2. Fremantle (Crozier, 2018 4th round) > Bulldogs (39, 2018 3rd round)
3. Fremantle (22, 55) > GWS (Wilson, 69)
4. Nick Suban FA (3rd round pick compo = 41)

2017: 5,39,41,58,69,77
2018: Rd 1 (Freo), Rd 3 (Freo), Rd 3 (WB), Rd 4 (GCS)
I quite like this trade. But it puts crozier as worth an end of 2nd round pick. For us that’s probably good value. Do we think the doggies that keen?

Edit: When I say like. For the most part I think it’s fair

Well they did make a bit of a balls up of the Stringer business so they may be desperate for something to desalinate their fans

Well looks like we don't have to worry about settling for Jack Watts instead (not that it was ever going to happen) - looks Power bound surprisingly. You would think they can't afford to move on Hogan now? If they lose both would be too damaging.

Must be because Toumpas has been such a raging success for them :drunk:

I'd bet my house that his first set shot from 48m out he'll march back, mark the ground with his scrape technique, flick the hair, twirl the ball and send it 15 rows back with the umpire not moving an inch.

Whatever happened to this - was reported start of last month:

"Hayden Crozier is close to recommitting to Fremantle after being offered a new deal.
The 23-year-old is expected to sign a new contract before the end of the season.
The offer is believed to be two seasons, extending Crozier until the end of the 2019 season.
His existing deal expires at the end of this season"

If it's not done then it's probably safe to say he's on the move to WBD. If he gets us a 2nd Rounder I'm not losing any sleep over him.

Maybe Matera happened.

Crozier is the bloke you can afford to have in a Rolls-Royce team. When the other forwards have drawn the best defenders, he gets off the leash.

To me he's in the OK to trade if you can get something decent for him category. We don't need to push him out the door but if the Bulldogs want him...

If he stays he might become a decent B grader but I don't ever see him becoming a star. Depending on who we get through trading and the draft he may even be struggling to be best 22. Bennell, Matera and Ballas possibly vying for the small forward gigs with Ryan, Tucker, Nyhuis and Wilson if we get him as the smaller defenders.

Not sure where Crozier might fit in.
