I've studied a bit of sport science in the past, my partner is a physio and I've done some research into pain before, involved in private health funding

Why's that? Do you have some issues?
Not really just interested that knee problem can cause neuropathic pain also.

It's not uncommon in cases like Zac's where they've had recurrent knee pain for a while now which flares up all the time and can't get right that the nerves become over sensitised

Charlie Cameron is out of contract at the end of next season. If he indicates that he wants to come home I would look at Ballantyne for another year and see how we structure up with a guy trying to back his pace and get out the back

My 2c - Zac is 100/1 to be on a list next year.

I've got a loose PCL, just like Zac.

Notionally it is fine, can run, jump whatever, no issues.

However it provides no stability between the tibia and femur when you get an impact on the tibia, which lets you easily damage all the other stuff in the joint far too easily. This has happened with ZC (Round 1 last year IIRC, among others).

You can't be a ruck with a loose PCL, impacts are inherent.

I seem to recall him having both knees strapped, so maybe he just has general issues regardless.

*I believe* they've learnt the lesson and Apeness had his fully reconstructed (?). However I wouldnt have high hopes for him either

I'm a physio who has worked in the wafl and G Mus is spot on, there would definitely be some central sensitisation/neuropathic pain going on with Clarke, however Jeff Boyle (senior club Physio)knows his stuff and there are tricks/techniques that can be used to push through something like this.

must be interesting having some expertise and watching players. Fyfe for example. Clearly not in his peak form.

What are people's thoughts on Zaharakis?

While he is not an A Grader, he would be a good midfield rotation.
He is the free agent I like the look of most after Martin and Kreuzer.

He would be 28 in his first game for a new club, as would Kreuzer so the plan would need to be to compete for a flag within three years.

Total pipe dream, Victorian FA coming to rebuilding WA club.

Would be a great get for a club that needed some midfield top-up (i.e. down the road) but pretty useless to us and would probably be a net negative given he'd push someone younger out.

Hill is 27 as well, so he is the right age. We really need to improve our depth and a few signing like Zaharkis would help a lot.

I am not sure about Kruezur, Darcy looks good and he won't cost us 700k. I think Darcy will be ready in 2 years which is when we will be in our premiership window again. It is a very tough call, but if I had to choose between JJ or Kreuzer I would pick JJ.

Martin is the best player in the comp, he is only player worth more than 1 million a year (Fyfe included).

Gee Kreuzer was good today, am I too greedy to want all 3 :)

And no tank. Not young either but good to watch at WAFL level when things are going his way. Very smart and skilful.
Yeah absolutely no tank, I'll give you that. Still he'd give more output than a few on our list purely through his physicality.

If we can draft a 26 yo who had been in prison...you can draft a 24yo no dramas.

Not keen on Keitel. Was a big fan of Meadows a few years back but he hasn't developed as well as I thought, good WAFL player but not good enough for AFL.
Hopefully ueber come good ( don't need kietal then) , freo really need to trade in a forward/ruck if Sean Darcy is not been accerated his development.
