Time for a fresh thread for the new season in time for our FFA Cup match on Tuesday Night. (Mods can lock the old thread)

Hopefully another exciting season coming up with Honda coming in, should be announced very soon!
There have been a lot of changes this off season notably Berisha, George, Williams leaving as well as Donachie and Theo. So expect a few new faces. As well as a few familiar ones, Ansell is back which is good to see.
Perth away in our FFA Cup match on Tuesday night, predictions? We never travel well in Perth so I don't expect us to win but we do have a pretty good record in the Cup so who knows, Perth are also rebuilding and may take a while to get started.
As for the season can we go back to back? with Honda anything is possible through we do need a striker to replace Berisha. Trust in Super Kev and Go Victory! #StandByMe

You'd hope so. No offense intended to Kenny but our season was over if he's our starting frontman lol

Any thoughts on who we could bring in? It's 4+1 on the foreign players in the league now isn't it? Which means Honda takes up the Asian players spot (+1) and Georg Niedermeir is our only other foreigner which leaves us heaps of room. I can see us having a heap left within the salary cap as well.

The A-league has introduced a 4+1 rule this season so hopefully we'll see more Asian players in the league in future, and about time we should be attracting more asian players instead of washed up Europeans as well as being more aligned with the confederation.

With Deng/Ansell, Brox, Hope and King Kenny on the bench, which is probably the best depth we've had in a few seasons... and we've still got 2 visa spots left to fill. (I'd love to think we can upgrade on Valeri, but I don't think it'll be our top priority. Kev would happily go with Valeri, Antonis and Brox as cover.)

I really hope it's enough depth for us to take the ACL seriously. We've won as many league titles as anyone in Australian football, we've won the cup - the ACL is really the final frontier, and with us finally having not just an Asian player, but a really ******* serious Asian player up til at least the 2nd round, we're well placed to at least have a serious dip.
