2018/19 Off-Season Discussion Thread

Try to keep all discussion on the off-season happenings in this thread rather than the other thread. Bids and trades must be posted in the 2018/19 Off-Season thread or they won't be valid.

Gotta put it out there, I'm looking to trade for NT players.

Awesome work fightingfury_88

Will you putting up other info soon, eg veterans, contract extensions, salaries for draftees etc etc?
Yup, putting it up piece by piece as I get to it. Updated lists are up now.

Mentioning now in case I'm inactive so I don't get replaced - I'm overseas from September 27th until the 16th of October, so will make sure I've got everything in order when I get back
Should be all good. All bids are inactive at that time so by the time you get back none of your players will be lost. Thank you for the heads up.

We keeping everything as is rules wise?

Unless coaches see some real burning issues the intention is to consolidate on last season and keep the rules pretty much the same. Certainly nothing that would affect the off-season. GST requirements will stay the same. The only rule that's on my radar is how teams are selected if an active coach forgets to name their team.

You’d probably want to make a 2019 confirmation thread too, tag everyone to ensure we have enough coaches
Good idea. I'll have to set this up shortly to allow enough time to replace coaches if needed.

Also, in case it's unclear in the list thread, contracted veterans are listed at the salary that they were last signed for prior to being veteranised. This will be adjusted once the re-veteranisation is confirmed or the player is traded.

I thought the rules worked pretty well this year. The fact that there weren't regular issues and complaints like we've seen in the past is a good sign
